Cheers! Ya it's a great tune which I hadn't actually heard until I got playing and touring with the fiddle player Ian King. It's a fun one to play 🎸

Not sure what the chord progression is. Can't tell from the fiddle notes which chord is supposed to go where and when.

Thanks for the tunes, dya always use same gauge plectrum. What is a good gauge for Irish comping, gypsy jazz has mega thick picks, but they just don't work for irish. Cheers from Devon.

Hi, sorry about the very long delay in reply. I've been away on tour and just catching up on things now. I often use the Dunlop Tortex Orange (60mm) plectrum, either that or the Red (50mm) I find them very nice to play with and comfortable. They have been my pic of choice for when I'm gigging for quite a while. But I'm not overly fussy...As long as a pic doesn't snap or chip off in the middle of a session I'm usually happy. A few years back I found a BlueChip TP48 pic on the ground at a guitar festival. They are a very pricy plectrum ($35!) I'm not sure if I would have spent that much on a pic myself at the time, so it was a lucky find. But since then I've practised and recorded with it quite a bit, and it's the only pic I've ever used that has never worn down at all after all the use... It's still like the day I found it. (It's rock-solid though, so it takes quite a while to get comfortable strumming with it. But if you're looking for the best tone out of your guitar the harder the pic the better. I use it for most of my studio recordings) Hope that helps! Cheers.

Great tune! How’s that submarine pro pickup working for you? Any chance of a review? I’m thinking bout getting one

I like it so far. It sounded well at the festivals this year. It's much less intrusive than the first submarine. The only problem I had was the instillation. You need to use a very small Allen/Hex key to lock it into place and the threads on it immediately wore away to nothing... I got very frustrated and was thinking about returning it (like I returned the first submarine, because it wouldn't stick to my guitar) but I ended up just jammed it into place with a bit of force, luckily it's been stuck in place since.. The designer must know it's a big flaw though because there are extra screws inside the box that it comes with.. Outside of that, the pickup has two output jacks which is useful depending on how you want the wire to run off your guitar. I'll be stinking with it for another while i would say. I'll try do a review after I gig with it for another bit.
