In this video I discuss my plans for my LSA supercharger. I disassemble and port the snout and the blower case as well as replace the factory isolator with a solid isolator.

I just blew up my LSA supercharged LS1 and it completely trashed my blower. Thanks for this video showing how to get the rotor pack out. I can at least take it apart and see if it's even remotely salvageable. A metric shit ton of metal went through my blower and my intercooler brick looks like it got shot with a 12 gauge.

Dang that sucks. Hope you can salvage the blower.

@@PetesGarageandperformance Me too. I bought this LSA blower for old school pricing aka cheap or cheaper lol. If I have to replace it with todays market it's going to be a tough pill to swallow. :(

Yeah the prices for an lsa setup have definitely climbed since the supply dried up.

You made that look easy.

It’s not particularly difficult. Just very time consuming.

Just found your channel, great video!! I'm thinking of porting my LSA supercharger, after watching your video. Working on 1963 Impala SS with Gen 3 Ls 6.0, bored. 030 Gen 4 Connecting Rods Eldgen stage 3 sloppy Cam #823 heads (P&P), .660 lift springs kit ZL1 reinforced brick 2.55 GripTec upper pulley 7.485" ATI Lower pulley How much more performance would you say that LSA, picks up with the porting of it to cram more air into it? Thanks for you Help and Info..

🔥Aye shout out to ZZP that's where I get all my supercharger stuff🔥coming along nice bro😎

Yeah they were definitely more affordable than some of the other companies with LSA stuff. Hopefully it all works well.

@@PetesGarageandperformance are u gonna polish what u ported🤔
@PetesGarageandperformance2 жыл бұрын
@@PhillyDee215 I sanded it but didn't go for a polished finish. They say not to polish the intake side of things because a little roughness helps create a boundary layer of air and actually helps flow. And it would've taken forever.

I just use a steering wheel puller to pull the hub off/👍👍

Wish I had seen this before I started my diy porting. I did the heads as well as the runners, tb and anything else I could do while it was apart. Definitely not as pretty as yours turned out 😂

It’s very time consuming for sure.

Great video! Which die did you use to do the majority of the work? Going to try my first porting job. Thank you

I bought the single flute bits from harbor freight. I used the cone shaped one the most. Until I broke it. Then I used the long cylindrical one. And broke it. Lol

It’s hard to say how much it picked up with the porting because I never installed the supercharger before I ported it. I think most port jobs gain roughly 40hp or so from what I’ve read. Get ready for big block like torque!

Thanks for the reply and your opinion Mr. Pete ,I appreciate it. Big block Torque would be Great to move the heavy Chevy because it's gonna be a street car. Full interior, bucket seats, A/C and in the tunk 1 JL Audio 13x7 sub in speaker box & 5 gallon water/ice box. I want to be able to hop in it and go wherever I want and not worry about anything, plus have a lil Fun In It!!
