FX’s FEUD: Capote Vs. The Swans tells the story of acclaimed writer Truman Capote, once a confidante to society’s most elite women, whom he nicknamed “the swans.” However, his act of betrayal effectively destroyed those relationships, banished him from high society and sent him into a spiral of self-destruction from which he would ultimately never recover.

I am so glad we had this runway show for the dresses. I watched the behind the scenes but this show is justice to the workmanship of the creators. Thank you, Zach Posen.

This show has been very special. The costumes and set design are absolutely spectacular. Naomi, Diane, Chloe, Calista, and Tom have absolutely inhabited those roles. Costumes have a lot to do with it.

I'm always happy to see Jessica Lange in anything. People need to see her in Blue Sky, for which she won an Oscar against all odds in 1995. The film had been sitting unreleased for years bc the director died of AIDS and somehow it got aired and Jessica won her Leading Actress Oscar for it! It's a wild story and a great film and Jessica is amazing g in it and super seductive; her character is partly based on Marilyn Monroe and other forgotten and abused actresses of the 50's, when the film is set.

This is an incredible promo. I love that all these actresses agreed to do this. I wonder whether this was originally films with the intent of making a screen test for these fashions, and was co-opted into a promo. If so, that's a really clever way of promoting the series. The fashions are sensational and these women are owning the moment.

Omg this episode was done in black-and-white and does not do the gowns. Any justice. Bravo, Zach Posen the gowns are absolutely exquisite. My favourite was the gown done for Lee Roswell just perfection.

The high fashion of the 60s was extreme, no doubt about it. It's good to see that Mr Posen did not shy away from, or try to water down, the era's excesses to suit modern tastes. I love how Mr Posen's designs for the dresses reference actual fashion of the era. For example, Slim Keith's jumpsuit I recognise - I made myself a pair of satin evening culottes in this design in 1969. They were exactly this style.

Lillie Mae Faulk named herself "Nina" when she first tried to enter New York high society. Had she succeeded everyone would have been calling her Nina.

What a FABULOUS surprise… a runway show with the beautiful ladies in their gowns! Lee and her opera coat remind me so much of my own amazing mother, now 81 and profoundly disabled by Parkinson’s Disease, who attended many balls and charity galas in the 70s with my father… she was tall like Babe Paley and dressed like Lee - always quietly and sublimely elegant. I recall often playing in the yard when the car would come up the drive to collect them; I would stop to watch them emerge from the house, my father holding her gloved hand as I would give her a kiss goodbye. My mind can still conjure vivid memories of the flashes of fire from her diamond chandelier or asscher-cut drop earrings, bequeathed to her by my grandmother, and the luxuriously lingering fragrance of her Shalimar parfum… seeing these amazing women and gowns triggered those flashbacks to cherished early years in my life. THANK YOU for that 🥹❤

In the series I loved learning how Babe had tiny Indian tinkly bells in her gown hemline which would emit just the tiniest delicate tinkle as she moved... brilliant way to stand out, good show Babe!

The costumes are incredible in this video, but I was very disappointed in the episode filmed in awful black and white format. It was a monotone cloudy gray, and I would have loved to have seen all of the costumes, including the ballroom in it's opulence color.

Me parece que hoy día soy muy consciente en ese tema, yo tengo hijos, no por qué me hallan obligado o me halla sentido presionada por nadie, lo hice por qué sentía esa necesidad de ser madre y no me arrepiento de serlo, pero ahora pienso conscientemente que no tenía las herramientas necesarias para ser madre. Para empezar decidí ser madre soltera pensando que no necesitaba...pero hoy día sé que sí!! necesitaba a alguien a mi lado y que mis hijos necesitaban esa parte en su vída, entre muchas otras cosas. Creo que de verdad sin ser selectivo no todo el mundo debería ser apto para procrear...

Yes.. I did. I am a badged LAFW designer & I can think of a few, of my colleagues who could have taken a more historical, factual approach to this collection, rather than he. Perhaps your conflict comes with those designers more qualified & not he? When doing period costumes the first & foremost agenda with design production, is to get as close as possible to the original. Substitutions or personal preferences are not factual to the original design. That is not historical it's fiction based on his personal bias & yours. All designers with major global brands know this. Every journalist in the country knows this, and so do industry professionals. So do many designers Reviews are in. . There is no justice as far as design goes in this collection. It's fiction & so are your comments. Do all of us, designers, a favor? Stick with what you know, not what u don't.

Too much Zach here. His youth speaks to these designs. This job should be have been done by Badgley Mishka. Someone who takes takes into account history not bling. A nice try, but falls short by personal intentions rather than historical facts. 😮
