Photographer Bill Smith and Journalist Derek James, custodians of the Jack Roberts Archive, discuss the man behind the photographs displayed in the Portraits of Life exhibition.
Professional Photographer Jack Roberts, who died in 2005, captured images of the streets of Norwich in the 50s and 60s before the redevelopment in the early 70s.
Jack's work had never been publicly seen before until Bill Smith and Derek James became custodians of the Jack Robert's Archive and an exhibition of his work was displayed at The Forum in Norwich as part of Heritage Open Days 2019.
In this talk Bill and Derek discuss Jack's life and work as a photographer and some of the areas of Norwich captured in his photographs.
The exhibition of Jack's work can be seen again at The Forum, Norwich from 11-20 September 2020.
