Portugal Food Tour!! Dishes of the Algarve!

In this video, we take you around Lagos, Portugal on a FOOD TOUR!! We eat lots of fresh, Portuguese SEAFOOD and go in search of an amazing Francesinha sandwich! We don't consider ourselves FOODIES, but we found some of the best restaurants in Lagos PORTUGAL and curated a food tour for ourselves!! We think it turned out pretty damn good!! We visit a local market and a few different restaurants in Lagos - from the marina, to the old town, to some places outside old town. We have absolutely loved living in Lagos for a month and the food scene here has something for everyone!! We love the cuisine and the fresh food in the South of Portugal!! Everything from the simplicity of the amazing Algarve oranges and other produce, to the delicacies from the sea, to the creative dishes curated by the talented chefs of the region - no one will be disappointed with the tastes of the Algarve and southern Portugal!! We are sure we missed out on so many amazing dishes, so let us know your favourites in the comments, so we, and others can appreciate and try other dishes from this fantastic gastronomic region! It’s so funny that Mitch isn’t a seafood fan. We has someone on our trip who was the same…and lo and behold when it is FRESH and cooked properly what a difference it makes. He loves it now too.

Hahaha! OMG make sure you don't have breakfast the day yo go for franceshina! It is so filling and delicious!! From what we understand, the sauce is very thinck with chunks of sausage in it when you get it in Porto! I am excited to see how you like it! LOL

We really did love Lagos!! Definitely a place we could stay all winter long!! So many restaurants that we didn't even get to try. Unfortunately, we have moved on from Lagos, but we do love trying the tastes of wherever we are, so we will definitely make more food videos! Thank you for your kind feedback!! Cheers!

Excellent video! Coming from Nova Scotia, we are huge seafood fans and have never been disappointed in the seafood in Portugal. Last year we would walk by Tasca da Lota on our way to the beach and it was a,ways packed…it’s on the list for this year. I’ve made a note of your restaurant names and will be trying those as well. Saúde!🍻

Algarve cuisine is sooooo good. Yours faces when u try the food are so funny. And yes, the good Francesinha is in Porto and Braga, I usualy went to Santa Francesinha in Poveiros Square in Porto (behind the Batalha Church)

You can't go to Porto without tripping over a Francesinha sammie. We didn't see it anywhere on the menu in Lisbon or Lagos.

We will definitely be trying a Francesinha as soon as we get ourselves to Porto! LOL. If you are ever back in Lagos, now you know at least one place to go!
