Probably a silly question but since it is a Jersey knit fabric do you use a ball point needle in your machine? I just have a single needle matching and would probably do the jointed doll. These are so cute.

Love all your tutorials. I have began to make my first doll and am finding it a bit challenging but this is my first attempt so I will practice and practice. I have purchased some of your doll faces as well and wondered would it be possible to have an African American style face. Thanks for all the very informative tutorials.xxx

Thank you for a very good, informative tutorial. I just want to know how sturdy the neck of the April doll is. I have used the sew in head and have done the ladder stitching on the neck, but the head is still quite floppy. Is this normal? I can't seem to see how sturdy your doll's necks are in your videos. Thanks so much.

The doll joint will be more sturdy that the sewn in head. The sewn in head is designed to resemble a floppy newborn head that needs to be supported like a real baby. The larger the plastic doll joint that you use, the more stable the head becomes. You can also skip the weighed material in the head if you feel your baby's head it too floppy for your liking.

Yes all four types of dolls are for sale on our website (pattern only) at planetapplique.com but we also have a ton of ladies who make and sell completed dolls, and some will even sew the parts for you and send them so you can assembly yourself for fun. You should join our facebook fan group and ask the members who would offer this for you.
