We arrive for a weekend with friends at the Somers Wood Caravan Park in Meriden where we unsure of what was planned. As usual, the weekend was a roaring success and we had so much fun, Trev almost forgot to get the camera out. This video shows the campsite and the organised walk in the local area that Glyn led. Evening guys , we enjoyed that , it’s always good to see people enjoying each others company . We’ve had a month off now , but back out next weekend and very much looking forward to the Rally , we now have costumes. 😂. Hab Check tomorrow though so fingers crossed . Hi Trev and Sue a brilliant video and welcome to the West Midlands! It’s a lovely spot around Meriden it’s about an hour from here to say it’s near to the airport and Solihull it’s quiet over there some lovely places over that way If you are up again try the ice cream at Henley in Arden and also packwood house and baddesley Clinton NTs are not far away and well worth seeing and the boat at Catherine de barnes is a nice pub! If you know your motorbikes Meriden was the home of triumph! Great to see everyone having fun and enjoying everyone’s company great to see all the vans at the end! All the best to you all Daniel

Daniel you have listed all the we like, proving that we must return to the area soon. Thank you for your lovely comments. It was a struggle to make this video in the van last week due to my laptop playing up and I wasn’t really very happy with the results. Spotted Joe had a problem with his lights did you do a repair video. After getting off the ferry in Sicily right Indicator light sounded to fast on the motorhome. Parked at service station tools and spare light bulbs out half an hour later fixed.

It’s fairly easy to change a lamp on the back of a motorhome but it’s not a bad idea to do a repair video. I’ll ask Joe if he’ll do it with me 😃 Trev

Trev, you might want to tell “CADAC Joe” his offside rear brake light isn’t working and the near side brake light appears to be on constantly! Wouldn’t want the Police to pull him over….. lovely looking site but I think it’s a “2 dog” max per pitch unfortunately for me.

Thanks for spotting his problem with the lights. It’s something that has been ongoing and has not been fixed by a local workshop. We had to do some repairs whilst in Scotland to try to resolve it. I believe you are correct about the 2 dog rule. It’s interesting how some campsites are tightening up their rules with dogs. I recently found a site that was charging £3.50 per night per dog ! Outrageous but clear they don’t like dogs 😳 Trev

@@PoshcatsCamping , an “intermittent fault” is the worst of all to sort out isn’t it? I suspected it was something you were aware of but wanted to be sure 😉. I wonder exactly what they were providing our “furry family members” with for £3.50 per night !! It’s a well used tactic in the commercial world, if you don’t want certain work or, in this instance, dogs just put the price up to a level which no one would pay….
