This is refreshing to see! This is not just the same ol' generic poses that you see everywhere on YT. It shows your committed to bringing the figure to life and your respect for that character, and in that your respect for the figure. I love how you incorporated all the natural physiology into all parts of your poses, i.e., the weight distribution in the hips, legs and elbow and shoulders, and the use of the fabric to exhibit movement or wind blowing. This is quality work and it could've only come from your attention to detail. Excellent work! 👍👍 I look forward to your next video and if you'd like a suggestion, maybe a clone or stormtrooper. I've always found they are the most challenging figures to bring to life because you can't see their faces. It's all about "implied" expressions with helmeted figures. It's a challenge, but when you get it right it feels good. Thanks again, you should be proud, Darth Maul looked very much alive. 👍👍

Thank you so much for the compliments! I say this every blue moon when we receive comments like these, but it's the same every time. We try our best to show our love for collecting through our footage by giving each figure the showcase they deserve. While the lighting conditions might not be replicated in the collection display, I think it's important to show details we can't see under flat lighting. The same can be said for our this series. Posing is important for the display, so we try our best to provide a few options depending on the space a collector might have. It's great to hear when a lot of those smaller details are noticed, so thank you! We definitely have clones on our radar! The bodies vary between the 501st release and the Standard Clones. The same can be said for ARC Trooper Jesse and Rex due to their pauldrons. The hope is that it doesn't burn you all out because of all the variations, so we'll need to plan accordingly. Like you mentioned, it's also nailing the expression through the helmet which can be tricky. We have some ideas though, so stay tuned! Thank you again for leaving such an awesome comment, and we hope you like what we have planned for the series! 😄🙌🏼

You're more than welcome, quality, time and care should always be given the best lighting it deserves. As for the clones, it was just a thought because it's always a challenge for me to show "emotion" through a helmet and I've always found that just the slightest head tilt, shoulder position or torso twist can convey so much. Vader is a good example of what I mean. As for the clone challenges (as I don't see them as problems, just an obstacle to overcome) the body differences and the pauldrons, I always approach it with the attitude of "Ok, how can I bring you to life with what I have to work with. The character is in there, now I just need to bring you out" I've always enjoyed your vids, so I'll be looking out for what you have coming! Thanks too for pointing out that it's not about how many figures you have, but more about appreciating the characters and what you do with the figures you do have! Also, it's important to make sure it stays "Fun" because isn't that why we all got into this hobby in the 1st place! @@BostonCollectors 🙌😄 p.s. I'll be "borrowing one of those Maul poses, just not sure which yet! of course, with the disclaimer of "This pose courtesy of Boston Collectors" 👍😉

KZfaq needs more of this, it’s usually all showing off, but this series does both showing off and an “how to”.

We were hoping the extra “how to” pop ups would help or at least add something different! Thanks for taking time out of your day to watch 😄

Great poses, and great video!! I’d love to see more of these. Clone poses would be a super interesting one
@BostonCollectors5 ай бұрын
Thank you! Clone poses are definitely on our list. It'd probably need to be at least 3 different videos since the bodies varied between Cody, the 501st, and the Regs. Would love to do it though! Thanks for watching, Rick!

Thank you! That's good to hear so many of you enjoyed watching. It's always scaring adding something new to the list of content to make while adding your own flavor to it. You can't recreate the ORIGINAL taco, but look at how many of them we have today. The hope is enough people stop by and give ours a try. 😅 Thanks for watching, man!

Thank you! Glad you liked it! It felt like something Maul would do to show Obi-wan how he can take his stance and make it better. He was kind of a douche like that, so it felt right. 😅

Great idea for a series, quality of the poses and video is great. It's perfect for people like me that have trouble deciding what pose to go with, especially when trying to limit manipulating the figure too much to avoid any damage or degradation.

Thank you, thank you! Still surprising to hear that my posing is considered ‘good enough’ for it. I never thought it was until people kept asking for videos. 😅 You know what, while I was making this video, I wondered why it was such a great release. The portrait designs are from Kojun! They still hold up very well to this day. Not to mention the rest of the release… just amazing. 🔥🔥🔥🔥 Thanks for watching man! 🙏🏼🍻

This was an amazingly detailed and professional video. I'd love to see more. How about some Jango Fett! I feel like Mando get's too much love from other channels.
@BostonCollectors5 ай бұрын
Thank you! We wanted to try out snack sized content without information overload. The hope is that it wasn't too lengthy to detour anyone from trying, but explaining it just enough for collectors to give posing a shot. I don't really see much for Jango sadly. That's a good one though, I'll write that one down. 🙌🏼 I just had someone ask for Mando earlier on. They made a good point, so both of those are great options for a future video! Thanks for watching, Mr Media! 🙌🏼

Tiny rare earth magnets do wonders for the neck on this figure. As is, it's a bit short.

Hello. Your channel is undoubtedly my favorite in terms of Reviews of 1:6 scale figures. The videos are elegant, just the right length, with fairly complete analysis and exceptional production quality. And it's a great idea that you're now helping us with something as important as posing. A pose elevates or destroys a figure, and a good pose is something that not everyone has the ability to achieve. As a suggestion for the next figure to pose... I have to emphatically propose the Mandalorian beskar (the first version and unmodified). It is a figure that can be found in any Star Wars collection but it is a very difficult figure to pose naturally given the limitations of the fat suit, and with a cape that also has its trick to make it look good. A video like this would be very helpful.
@BostonCollectors5 ай бұрын
Hey! Thank you so much for the kind words, it means a lot. We try our hardest to provide the best content we can, so hearing comments like this helps us know we're doing right. The Mandalorian is a great choice actually. Luckily enough I didn't remove he body suit on the latest version, but they all share the same body anyway. Could be a lot of fun! Thank you for the recommendation, we'll look into it! 🙏🏻

So, you are not only the master of HT videos, you're also the master of posing. 😁😁 No, I don't feel inadequate at all. 🙄🙄🤣🤣 This is one of my fav figures, and the one I have reposed the most. However, due to some unfortunate occurrences early in my collecting, I always use a stand for my figures, and that can be limiting. I suppose now I need to find a stone diorama and a smoke machine.... 👍👍👌👌👍👍👊👊
@BostonCollectors5 ай бұрын
Hahaha, I wish! Takes better equipment and space to really get it how I want. 😭😭😭 All of these are pretty easy to learn, so trust me… you can do it too! Yeah, I haven’t had anything like that happen in the display. I hope it doesn’t… Thanos base, Target Halloween fog machine ($10), some fog solution ($7) and you’re in there! 🔥🔥🔥 Thanks for watching, Daniel! 🙏🏼🍻

I actually just did a tweak to the pose of my DX16 this morning. Tilted the head sculpt down forward slightly and raised the eyes, so it would appear he is staring down his enemy. small adjustment, but it added so much to the tone of expression

@BostonCollectors5 ай бұрын
Thank you! We thought about interaction poses, but I didn't want to overdo it on the first video in case the new series wasn't received well. We'll see about doing that later, or perhaps making it a separate series using multiple figures. Anakin's also on our list! Even better since I have several versions of him. 😄 Thanks for watching!
