Position a slump mould to prevent the glass from sliding

This video shows you how we setup a metal mould in our glass kiln to stop the glass sliding when slumping. If you have ever had a piece of your work slide from your mould when slumping then this tip will stop that. This and more tip on fused glass and glass fusing on our channel.

This video is priceless, thank you so much! I did wonder what I was doing wrong as my glass was sliding slightly. I bought the stainless steel moulds and they are perfect, but I’d like to buy more and I cannot remember the gentleman ‘s name, who sells them. Can you remind me please? Thanks again for everything. Thanks for this demonstration! Curious what type of glass this technique is limited to. Could you slump ordinary glass for furniture this way? example being clear simple glass used in a curio cabinet?

No problems. You can slump any type of glass, you may need to adjust the firing schedule to suit the COE and thickness of the glass.
