Stanford Professor Shirzad Chamine is author of the New York Times bestseller Positive Intelligence. His work exposes 10 well-disguised mental saboteurs and shares how to defeat them. According to Chamine, "positive intelligence" measures the percentage of time our mind serves us as opposed to sabotaging us. While IQ and EQ (emotional intelligence) contribute to our maximum potential, it is PQ that determines how much of that potential we actually achieve. Chamine is chairman emeritus of CTI, the largest coach-training organization in the world. Chamine has coached hundreds of CEOs and their executive teams. Before running CTI, he was the CEO of an enterprise software company. His background includes PhD studies in neuroscience in addition to a BA in psychology, an MS in electrical engineering and an MBA from Stanford.

SHIRZAD, I hope you read this because you said you care about what your work is doing in the world and I would like to tell you that it has helped me. I got to know about your theory through my coach. I understand you very much. I think I'm the same, I judge everyone, mainly myself. And this haven't brought me happiness or success - it did for a while, but not anymore. Right now I'm trying to exercise the muscles so I don't do it anymore but it is quite a challenge. All the time, every single thinking that goes in my head has to be changed. It is like completely changing my personality and becoming another person. It is not easy. But I think it will be the best for me. By now, I truly believe that. Thank you for your science.

Engaging and thought provoking. I just finished Tal Ben-Shahar's best seller Happier and this talk was 10 times more interesting. I actually listened to it twice just to catch anything I missed. Thanks :-D

Wow, Professor Shirzad is a world leading Professor specializing in ad nauseam although this is not explicitly stated in connection with this video, he certainly does a depth defying demonstration of his ability in the ad nauseam field through the basis of repeating the same old rubbish which makes New York Times bestseller lists over and over again through a hilariously ridiculous allegory specific to his Middle Eastern identity and then spending close to a hour reinforcing it. I certainly was uneasy with a painful sensation in my upper body right before I repeatedly vomited, so thanks for the weight loss as well Professor Shirzad!

The anxiety and global depression have increased a lot more in the last several years. Wondering if these books are circulated to global leaders of the country and companies or these ideas are sold only to the layman?

Well.. let me just say Tony Robbins through NLP introduced me to the concept of Self sabotage 26 years ago with close to exactly this same solution in his flagship product. Personal Power II. So this, although relevant seems to hit exactly the same NLP identified strategies and tactics, if not slightly from another angle. Its ok.. but NLP "woz ere"

except NLP can also be used for less than wholesome outcomes ( ad-men ), and even ill-intent, as with simply telling people what they want to hear (Politicians) etc, even amounting to emotional abuse when used on vulnerable people (gaslighting) . It's impossible to that with PQ techniques.
