The story is so sad yet beautiful. The music compliments the story so well. I feel bad for James and Computer. They only have 120 minutes to live. This video autoplayed for me yesterday while I was having a rough time at work. I happened to be sitting facing the video, and once the intro text started, I paused to read and take it in. I'm not a very emotional person, but this really hit me hard and I really don't understand why. I think it tapped into something deep inside of myself. Thanks for that wistful moment.

I can't describe how much my inner composer is happy with release of my solo track and two collab tracks with the amazing alhivi :3 thank you so much Dreamhop for your trust and having us in this new chapter of lo-fi cinematic music. Just want to give you a little backstory for these tracks: 13:08 - Høxde, alhivi - Echoes From Home - Main theme here are angelic vocalizers, which encapsulates James emotions and memories from his home, which he might will never see again. 28:43 - Høxde - Voyageur - Main theme here is the Morse alphabet on the background, with the code signal: "We are here. We are your friends. We are waiting for you". 55:14 - Høxde, alhivi - No Time Like Now - Main theme here are distorted guitar sounds on the background, which symbolize jamming radio signal, when James is trying to connect with other ships and then, he realises, that he can be the only one left survived pilot.

I read that thing at the beginning as "100% salt" and I was very confused. Though, I mean, if I want to nitpick, it can't be 100% water either if there's 10% salt held in suspension, but I digress.

The music was pretty good, but imo, daymoon did this concept better with "gliding". Which sucks to say, because I liked it enough that I would have been super down for another playlist inspired by it. Something that did it's own thing with the concept or continued the story. But you kind of just took the same premise and leeched out all of its subtlety. Sorry to be a downer.

I totally agree with you, I think little details in "gliding" gave it something special, more subtle (the fuel meter, etc). It felt more genuine to me at least. Closer from "show, don't tell" maybe ? Or at least something like that, I'm not sure. Gliding is probably one of my favourite playlist on here. I realy love Anderson and Bergersen's music which probably helped a lot, on top of the great concept/idea. But I felt the same way as you did. This concept of having a lore behind a playlist is so interesting I find it kind of disapointing to not add something personal or fresh to it. Even more as tracks here are realy good too, could've been on the same level or even better perhaps, If only it wasn't so similar... 😢

The main difference would be the other channel used music from random artists, this is entirely original compositions made specificaly for this compilation :)

Also, this channel focuses on animation so the little details (the fuel meter...) are replaced to give way to the animation, making this a Dreamhop version of the original lore
