Post Hardcore Band Promo Shoot (Live) BELLE HAVEN PRESS SHOTS

In this video I take you with me on a photoshoot I had a couple of months with Melbourne Post Hardcore band Belle Haven.
Our first location is a sunny outdoor location where I overpower the sun with my Godox Strobes. The second is an indoor space that we turn into a makeshift studio with a couple of Yongnuo Speedlights.

Would you like me to film my shoots like this more often? I have a few others "in the can" that I never edited, so if you like this sort of video format, holla at ya boy and I can make more of them happen in future :)

ThrasherTheKid thanks a lot man. I'm slowly working out what the best videos are for my audience. Funnily enough this sort of thing is what my subscribers love to watch but doesn't bring in many new ones. Funny how that works

It is funny, I would also recommend, (And I recommended this last time) that you tutor people on Lr and Ps if you use it maybe. I would totally give Ps a shot if you were the one doing the tutorial, thanks Pj , thanks for all these videos even if they don´t really make a dime for you, I at least appreciate since the beginning of your channnel.

If I were the band, I would have totally used the shot at 05:30 as the money shot. It's so random and fresh. Staged, yet not staged. Just cool.

Loved it peeej! The outdoor shots were awesome but and the indoor ones were so moody and nice! The light was super soft and wrapping. Ps I fully forgot about lighting behind the backdrop as apposed to having light between the talent and the backdrop!

Thanks PJ ! Which lenses do you mostly use on your shoots? I read that you used the 17-40 4 L for the outdoor shots with this shoot. And are your other lenses mostly zooms or primes?

Hey PJ, I've been on the lookout for a location kit. The Godox you use unfortunately isn't available. Do you have any other recommendations? :)

hey PJ on the outside strobe shot did you use a ND filter on your lens?

Ryan MacPherson Hey Ryan, no I didn't. The flash I used is powerful enough to shoot up around f/11-f/16 which is usually plenty to get detail in the sky at 1/200th of a second ☺️
