Post-op drunk husky howling

6 жыл бұрынFor the record, Zeus is not actually "drunk" he's recovering from being under anesthesia. Zeus the Stubborn Husky had a growth removed from his blue eye on 8/11/2017 and from what the vet's office said, he's been talking and howling all day. Obviously he's protesting the cone of shame and having been at the vet all day! Zeus also howled the whole way home while the anesthesia was wearing off. He came home and rested comfortably on his bed with his brother Kaden by his side.
We had to stop the car and drop off something for the rescue we volunteer with which is why the car is stopped. Can't film and drive!

Went to a husky rescue to get my husky. Played with them. Have a husky now. Can confirm that this is true and that my husky spent her entire life arguing with me before she listened to my commands, always had to talk and have the last word too.

Dogs can't smile. It's most likely his nervous reaction. A dog smiles with his tail and shows excitement with his eyebrows.

I had an 75 lb coonhound who had to have surgery. I called the vet to find out how she was doing. The poor vet tried to talk over the bays of the hound, but it was impossible to hear and she was 2 rooms away! I said, "Doc, do you want me to come early to pick her up?" He answered meekly, "Yes, please." HAHAHAHAHAHAHAH

My dog is a 70lb coonhound and I leave and don't take him with me for a car ride I can hear him all the way inside my house just baying lol...he goes for car rides all the time now to save my neighbors ears lol.

Lol to both stories! Sadly I don’t have any weird things my cats did when drunk on meds. I did have a dog who was so unbelievably calm during one ‘operation’, the vets didn’t even need to put him under anesthesia. He’d cut himself on something and it was just a chunk of skin torn away, no blood, no visible tendons, nothing. Apparently Chihuahua skin is extremely elastic.

Arcti Star Fox My vet said the same thing about my cat getting his yearly injections he was so chilled, so relaxed, I think its got a lot to do with you keeping a relaxed calm home for your wee chihuahua.

I actually cried the first time I had teeth pulled as a kid. Being high on laughing gas was not fun for kid me, my loss of coordination and how the novocaine made soup slip outta my mouth scared me lol. I wonder if it was the same for our doggo here? XD

I called my cat Lampie as a nickname for the longest time. I saw a meme of a cat brushing up against another saying “I love you Lampy,” and the cone of shame cat was like, “Shut up.” It’s a sad truth. But when animals are the light of our lives, it makes sense sometimes they’d be lamps. 🤷🏻♀️
