McLeoud is a 4th line player, but gets put on the 2nd and 3rd line just because of his speed. He doesn't have the shooting, accuracy, phyisicality or IQ

Eckholm writes a cheque to take a big hit, to give us a 2 on 1, resulting in a goalt. Ekholm skate pass to keep the puck in o-zone resulting in a goal. Ekholm has that big wrinkly sexy brain, and his body has to cash those cheques

Full team effort. I think the Oilers under Woody or Tippett would have folded after the tying goal. Kudos to Knoblauch and the players for sticking with it and scoring the go-ahead goal and not allowing the Canucks to deflate them! Pickard, great win for his first of his playoff career ❤ Give Bouchard a blank cheque! LETS GO OILERS! 💙🧡

I like the way things are going, but they bounced back like this under Woody too. My mind goes to the 130 foot bedshitting performed by Mike Smith in I think game four of the BOA where Nuge bounced back and scored the winner.

It was nice to see a real, live goalkeeper in the goal! Picard's game is great, he wants to play hockey, he moves great, he was very good. Skinner should not appear in the gate anymore, no last-ditch attempts. Skinner put the team in a very difficult situation. Picard is the best element in the car that goes for the cup. He came out under such pressure of responsibility and did a great job.

Great game! Defence played better than recent games…now they need consistency! If they are not doing the job, they need to be pulled and bring out Stetcher / Bromberg…there isn’t time

Never saw an emotional response by the coaching bench in my life. Kris took a page from RICK SLIME TOCCHET…must stop Hughes from creating plays. Stop garland …crash the net and stop Arturs Silovs…KANE WAS DOMINATING TONIGHT. Physical and on the prowl. Pick looked fantastic in net. LFG OILERS!!!! Just shoot the puck more. Be more aggressive and physical-see Kane hit on MEYERS…destroy Zadorov and Quinn Hughes …

Good in Kane hopefully by end he take zadorav out of game he too big towers Mayer on his face 4 minutes penalty but they killed oilers Kane can be big affected on playoff last year Kane big impact on la serious

Unless he's trying to keep Canucks coach guessing who will be their goalie tomorrow... there's no way you put back in Skinner IN VANCOUVER after Pickard's performance. Skinner has zero confidence and Pickard just got that W playing well, you play him until you lose at least 1 game... plus crowd will chant Skinnnnnnnnnner after getting pulled and get in his head from the start. BAD move if he goes back with Skinner but I think he just doesn't want to tell the Canucks yet who's playing.

Pickard hasn't played two full games in a row all season, so I think even if he wasn't trying to keep Vancouver guessing, he wouldn't confirm the starter until after doing a thorough check-in and making sure Pickard is physically ready. I agree that that's the move though.

In the playoff all you need is two solid lines with two solid sets of defense and a goalie who stands on his head..they don't have the players to do that unless they catch lightning in a bottle and they play above they're heads in the upcoming days / weeks

Big Vin Desharnais has to utilize his size and hitting capacity more than he has shown...he needs to be an intimidation factor in his defensive zone..I see him "floating" with one hand on the stick and seemingly not sure where to go when the offensive is coming on strong against him. Footspeed is needed for him to get on the heavy checking opportunities where he should be laying on solid hits along the boards and in front of the net.. he needs to up his nastiness and try to match Nurse in aggression. Hoping to see Perry slam in some goals.. he takes a lot of beatings and I wish him the best to ring up some points for his sacrifices.... same for Kane ..two guys who really lay it all out on every shift

Having two relevant lines is important. Superstars make others around them better and 97 and 29 dont really make each other better 5 on 5. Kane, RNH, and Holloway are all much more relevent when they are playing with one of them.

Please replace him with Stecher or Broberg... I don't hate Ceci, just his performance has been either invisible or terrible on ice. Turnovers and can't get the puck out... Anyway, G4 wild W! I personally prefer Carrick on 4th line C, he would bring more aggressiveness and more physicality to handle Nucks D men's body checks.

At least Pickard moves. Skinner literally didn't move on two goals. That is a mental thing. Probably the worst indicator of where he is at right now. To play Skinner is a gamble now at this point.

@@Gbruntis agreed. I never see skinner as our #1 guy based on his last year’s playoffs performance. Not just mental, his athleticism is not the greatest either. He always has slow reflexes and he’s rigid. If he tries to make a split, his groin will tear. I always see him being overhyped by the media because he’s a local boy and he’s still young. His supporters will soon run out of excuses for him when he gets older and still play at this level.

@@safikyle1 if you consider last year playoffs him getting suspended. Cambell looked good in the playoffs but didn't get played. We get past Vegas we might have won the cup. How many times nurse has flubbed and scored on his own net key times. His contract is almost double Campbell's. I unno lol. Maybe I rly don't like the guy hahaha.
