PTSD is one of the easiest VA claims to win
According to the top 3 easiest VA claims to win data, PTSD is one of the easiest VA claims to win.
The VA’s own internal data reported to congress and 38 CFR PTSD, veterans receiving VA disability compensation for PTSD have the following ratings:
0 PTSD Rating - A mental condition has been formally diagnosed, but symptoms are not severe enough either to interfere with occupational and social functioning or to require continuous medication.
10 Percent PTSD Rating - Occupational and social impairment due to mild or transient symptoms which decrease work efficiency and ability to perform occupational tasks only during periods of significant stress, or symptoms controlled by continuous medication.
30 Percent PTSD Rating - Occupational and social impairment with occasional decrease in work efficiency and intermittent periods of inability to perform occupational tasks, due to such symptoms as: depressed mood, anxiety, suspiciousness, panic attacks (weekly or less often), chronic sleep impairment, mild memory loss.
50 Percent PTSD Rating - Occupational and social impairment with reduced reliability and productivity due to such symptoms as: flattened affect; circumstantial, circumlocutory, or stereotyped speech; panic attacks more than once a week; difficulty in understanding complex commands; impairment of short- and long-term memory, impaired judgment; impaired abstract thinking; disturbances of motivation and mood; difficulty in establishing and maintaining effective work and social relationships.
70 Percent PTSD Rating - Occupational and social impairment, with deficiencies in most areas, such as work, school, family relations, judgment, thinking, or mood, due to such symptoms as: suicidal ideation; obsessional rituals which interfere with routine activities; speech intermittently illogical, obscure, or irrelevant; near-continuous panic or depression affecting the ability to function independently, appropriately and effectively; impaired impulse control, spatial disorientation; neglect of personal appearance and hygiene; difficulty in adapting to stressful circumstances, inability to establish and maintain effective relationships.
100 Percent PTSD Rating - Total occupational and social impairment, intermittent inability to perform activities of daily living (including maintenance of minimal personal hygiene); disorientation to time or place; memory loss for names of close relatives, own occupation, or own name.

I was recently diagnosed with PTSD from a V.A. psychologist. It was from a deployment i did in the Marines in 1988 Korean DMZ i had three Life altering Traumatic events within 60 days on the DMZ. Almost died and caught pneumonia. Suffered through Stress of what we believed was an attack from the North Koreans. It turned out to be an explosion 💥 from a Training mishap. In our Artillery Battery.. it freaked us out and Marines were injured from that explosion 💥. We thought THIS IS IT! we're under attack from North Korea!! We flipped ! Ammo was low. All sorts of stuff was happening.. i still have Nightmares about those 60 days on the DMZ. I ALMOST FLIPPED OVER IN A FULLY Combat LOADED HOWITZER GUN TRUCK WITH EXPLOSIVES ON BOARD.. MY HEART ALMOST JUMPED OUT OF MY CHEST... STILL MESSES WITH MY MIND TIL THIS VERY DAY... IM NOT SERVICE CONNECTED YET FOR THIS CONDITION.. I EAS JUST RECENTLY DIAGNOSED AND IM TAKING MEDICATION TO HELP DEAL WITH THE ANXIETY. AND THE DEPRESSION AND BAD DREAMS... I GUESS I GOTTA FILE AN APPEAL NOW BECAUSE I WAS DENIED PREVIOUSLY FOR PTSD... ANYWAYS IM GLAD IM GETTING HELP FINALLY AND ALSO THANKS FOR THIS VIDEO.

Just filed for PTSD after the VA doc said I had it based on my answers to the VA clinic intake process. I submitted the incident form containing three separate incident statements concerning multiple events, including incidents in the Gulf War (combat) and incidents while in Panama with Task Force Hawk (Operation Just Cause planning). Also former intel, working at a joint intel facility at the tail end of the Rwanda genocide and the final year of the Bosnian war. So much horrible imagery of bodies, mass graves, etc. Humanity really sucks... Anywho, I never wanted to file due to the stigma associated to PTSD. Also was a SSG, so not one to complain. Just needed to push through the pain. Now I wait and see what the VA has to say...

I am out for 30 years now and have been working with a VA certified Attorney. I am rated 80% right now and am waiting for BOA. I didn't receive a mental health exam or really a very good physical exam. I came out at 0%. I do lash out at my wife. I have had neck and back surgery and have told my wife at times I just wanted to go meet a semi. I actually had a motocycle accident 9 months prior to Nixon's birthday lottery which I happened to be number 9. My doctor told my mother I would never walk again. When I went to the MEPS that afternoon I was swearing into the Air Force. After retiring since they accepted me I figured I would stay and let them pay me for the rest of my life. That's where we are. I don't sleep have obstructive sleep apnea, memory loss. I don't like to be around people. Don't know if you can help since I am dealing with an Attorney.

Wow Byron, we hate to hear one of our brothers is in need of some serious help! Unfortunately, while you keep your attorney in retainer, we cannot assist. But feel free to reach out if you need help after you have used your attorney! Good Luck!

VA has my claim and I'm waiting for my doctor appointments . I don't know what to say. But I have been in Germany since I got out in 1991 . I can't be around people and that includes my own family. Every time I hear a transport plane fly over. I get panic fits. I need help. What can I do.

Lets say for a PTSD diagnosis, you had 2 symptoms that fall in 100%, 3 at 70%, 5 at 50% and 6 at 30%. How would they figure out what to assign you?

Hello, I ran across your site and have a few questions. I was deployed to Kabul Afghanistan in 2016, when I got home I filed a claim for breathing problems, and was denied, while I was there they made me take a US Army APFT. After that test, the next day I couldn't hardly breathe, it felt like fire when I tried to breathe in and out, I went to the TMC and they gave me medicine, nasal spray, etc. From that time I have sinus problems, but haven't seen a doctor other then when I was in Afghanistan, I have documentation. I enrolled in burn pit. Registry. And they sent me a letter in August stating that I was eligible. What do I do now, do I need to re file the claim or have it set up by the VA for them to examine me, I need guidance, thanks

@@user-mx8ly9mi4w The air quality in Kabul is absolutely terrible, more Afghans die from respiratory issues than anything else. Life expectancy there is mid fifties at best. I spent 2.5 years there, PT was no fun.

I went to the Veterans Services office in the Municipal Building of my county (Manatee, Florida). The retired Marine gave me a form for PTSD Compensation. It's like 3 or 4 pages. Just fill it out in your own words. Nothing fancy. Just write down what your experience was. That's what I did 9 years ago for what I experienced in Vietnam (drafted). He then sent it to the VA. Very simple. Maybe now you can do it online. No big deal.
