People's Postcode Lottery Ambassador Angus Purden was invited to the home of André Rieu in 2011 for a tour around the property by André Rieu himself. Overlooking the city of Maastricht, André Rieu's home dates back as far as 1452 and is somewhat a sanctuary for André when he returns from tour. In the interview with Angus Purden, André Rieu discusses his relationship with music, and his passion for sharing the experience of classical music with his fans.

I am just an ordinary, unskilled over middle age woman but I love classic music ever since I was in my teens, I love and adore all Andre Rieus music. He's such a good composer, producer, violinist and etc..etc......the way he present himself to the audience is so captivating, so lively full of vigor, energy and enthusiasm. The crowd, the fans never gets tired watching him performing. I had been to one of his concert here in USA but would really love to see him again when time permits.

I have only discovered andre rieu recently. I have no great love of music throughout my life. Like many people I thought of classical music as belonging to the few. Andre has opened my eyes to a world full of colour and meaning. His concerts are energetic and varied.I look forward to seeing the maestro live in December 2012 in the uk, and again in Maastricht next july. Long may he reign as "the king of waltz

I TOO DISCOVERED MR ANDRE RIEU. WHILE I TAPPED INTO YOU TUBE LISTENING TO OTHER'S PLAY THE BLUE DANUBE!!!! AND GOT COMPLETELY SOLD BY HIS VIBERANCE!!! -GREAT MUSIC!!! FUN!! WAS PLEASANTLY SUPRISED HE WAS 60 PLUS!!! AND GRANDFATHER TOO!!! SO VERY YOUNG LOOKING!!! WITH FAB. TALENT.MORE MORE ANDRE!!!!!!!!!!

Everyone loves watching Andre because Andre loves what he does. This is music porn. Instead of waiting for the people to go to the culture, you bring the culture to the people, we thank you Andre Rieu for making good music accessible to the public.
