I had mentioned Morgan as another PMJ singer to check out on the Creep video. She's a powerhouse. Classically trained graduate of Juilliard, but is a soul singer in profession. Dream On is excellent, but personally I love the version of Maroon 5's "Maps". kzfaq.info/get/bejne/bs1_ks-puc7HYYE.html

I completely agree with this. I think Morgan is the best female singer working in the United States right now. The recommendations of other commentators are right on the spot. But, right now during the Corona lock-downs, Morgan and her husband, guitarist Doug Wamble, are doing many cover songs which are being posted on Morgan's KZfaq channel. They are all really good and some are fantastic.

I can’t decide which I like better. Creep or Dream On. I can’t count how many times I’ve listened to both. Haley and Morgan are my two favorite adult female vocalists. Love Angelina too. My favorite young female vocalist. Morgan just sings the absolute Sh$t out of Dream on.

May I would suggest - for the ladies there - for Morgan James 'Dream On' or 'Take Me To Church'; for Ariana Savalas 'Bad Romance' or 'Criminal' or ''Hot Diggity'; for Hayley 'Seven Nation Army' - also I would recommend Sara Niemietz (another of my favourites) with 'Hey Ya' or 'Love Yourself' and also from the fellas: Cunio with 'Video Killed the Radio Star' .... I'll stop there because there are SO MANY AMAZING TRACKS! Enjoy!

I missed the Extra Gum commercial when it was on the air (because I don't watch TV), but found the clip earlier this year. How many singers (other than Haley) have you seen hit a home run with the audio track of a commercial?

Yep, the PMJ rabbit hole is a journey, such a great concept. I think you need this on your phone, because you grinned throughout and that is good for the soul these days. In addition to Dream On, Morgan does a great job with Maps by Maroon 5.

Yes! Please dive down this rabbit hole. I have yet to see a reactor really truly dig deep into the PMJ vault. Some do a quick pass of Haley's songs and one or two others but haven't really dug deep further than that. Postmodern has a brilliant rotation of artists and musicians they work with and you will find so many talented men and women the world at large don't know much about but they are so worth the find. You probably would never have heard of Morgan James if you hadn't watched this video. Please go find more hidden jewels. I left you a starting list (paragraph really) on your Creep reaction. On a side note, the founder of postmodern jukebox, Scott Bradlee, dipped his toes in this taking modern songs and turning them vintage with his work on the video game Bioshock Infinite(2013). In the game, which takes place in the 1910s, holes in reality expose the residents to music from the future, the 1960s-1980s, which a musician of the game's era reimagine in their own musical traditions. The plot is more complex than that, and this was a minor point in the game, but Scott was the one who came up with many of those reimagined versions and then turned into a career. They include Girls Just Wanna Have Fun(?), Tainted Love, Happy Shiny People, Everybody Wants to Rule the World, and After You've Gone.

The blond is Morgan A James she did a version of Sweet Child of mine with just the pianist on a visit to Paste Studios, it is well worth a look! She has worked on Broadway, attended Julliard where she studied opera. She and her husband Doug Wamble have done a series of covers (80 odd) while under lock down.

That, my good man, is Morgan James. Her catalogue is as impressive as Haley's and is definitely worth looking into. Her cover of Maps (Maroon 5) and Dream On (Aerosmith) are epic and you should absolutely check out Morgan and Haley covering Dear Prudence (Beatles).

The thing with PMJ is they feature LOTS of great singers. I first noticed the blonde (Morgan James) on this video and quickly became a fan of hers. She has other stuff with PMJ, I suggest Take Me To Church as another one to check out, just a piano to accompany. She also has her own channel with lots of other great stuff. I love it when she sings Aretha. Other great female vocalist with PMJ are Kiah Victoria and Adanna Duru. Enjoy!

Loved your reaction. Was LMAO. I discovered this video years and reacted exactly like you did. Morgan James has her own Facebook page and KZfaq accounts. Hey appreciate your comments. Megan Trainer, song writer, accidental hit singer, she had several hits after this one. As for better both have their merits, this version is a production, with “theatrics” of course it’ll be easier to like, but I believe you can’t compare like with like the only thing in common the song. As with cars the all have 4 wheels and a motor, of course I like the Porsche better than the VW Beatle 😉

Haley does a beautiful cover of Can’t Help Falling in love. Morgan and Haley together do Dear Prudence. Morgan does every song on the Beatles White album. You just can’t pick a bad song with either of the fabulous ladies. Morgan trained for Opera at Juilliard. Haley grew up singing with parents that had a band. Been singing in front of an audience since she was young. There is a video of Haley singing Can’t Find My Way Back Home with her dad playing the guitar. Check all these out.

You should plan to react to Nightwish too. Since you liked also Jinjer and Angelina Jordan, you will totally fall in love with Nightwish. The most suggested song to start with is Ghost Love Score, live at Waken 2013. It was already mentioned in many comments, and I totally second the suggestion. Just remember that to really understand many Nightwish songs you will eventually have to dig into the band history: Tarja Turunen era, her friendship with Tuomas Holopainen (keyboard and brain of the band) and the way she was fired; Anette Olzon era; and finally Floor Jansen era (started with the 2013 Waken performance suggested above). But don't worry about the details right now: I see that when you react to music, you know what you are talking about and you can really spot and appreciate musical skills. So just post the first reaction video: Nightwish Army will be here in a few hours to explain all the details and guide you trough Nightwish Universe.
