This ship is perfect for ranked, it really just builds on the strengths a battleship needs to succeed. I should mention the "buff" once achieved doesn't appear to go away until you use it. I was incorrect in the video.

The reason it's harder to citadel a Satsuma by another Satsuma at 20km isn't because of the lack of pen, or the lack of accuracy, but rather because those 510mm shells don't have a flat ballistics given its slow shell velocity that its impact angle registers as a bounce or a shatter on the Satsuma's armored belt.

actually 510mm have similar angle to Kremlin, problem is that Satsuma has 460mm belt at 20 degree, wheres at 20km have about 500-530mm of penetration and already about 13-15 degree of impact angle.

Satsuma's penetration is good, but it isn't as amazing as one would think from the shell size. It retains pretty well at extreme distances though.

I agree - Satsuma is amazing. I was really surprised, because by raw stats she doesn't look all that good at all, but she has two things going for her: 1) The ability. Obviously Rounds off the otherwise high-penetration, high damage shells with actually hitting... and 2)... the 460mm slanted belt. When you angle that at 45 degrees, that becomes ~650 mm of effective armor. Nothing goes through that at pracically any range that isn't suicidally close. You wouldn't really think that the difference from Yamato's 410mm to 460mm was that great, but it really does give her an immunity zone. Ships that you normally may _think_ has high penetration will shatter surprisingly close: Thunderer, Ohio, Hanover, Yamato, Kremlin and Republique can't pen that beyond 12km... and if they really do want to close to within 12km of you, then they will most likely be dead before they get there. Hell... even Slava can't go through beyond 16km. Yes, you have flat cheeks when you angle, but I have found those to be less decicive than one would think. People just don't want to get close enough that they can reliably hit that little spot with a significant portion of their shells.

Satsuma is the definition of a BB player dream. GUNS that 90% hit things on top of that massive AP alpha and overmatch. This is an actual useful BB

So far i found the Satsuma to be most effective at ranges between 15 and 20km. It is kinda cute to see enemy cruiser trying to angle against a Satsuma...

I ground through bronze using just the satsuma. Amazing ship, and it can obliterate DDs if you save the accuracy buff.

Actually with the new activation mechanic, you can hold the skill for practically forever once it's full And there is a trick for a 2 salvo/activation, but first, you need to be at half health WITH Adrenaline Rush As you aim, you don't activate the skill, you only activate it right before you shoot, the rest of the time (approx 24,5s) is plenty enough for you to aim and shoot a second salvo (asuming your reload is around 23s)

Hey, thanks for the vids. Good to know and see examples of some gameplay just to get an idea of some ships. One thing: for me, it's frustrating when you give away key moments of the battle at the start of the commentary. Maybe frustrating isn't the word, but I would rather watch the game develop as you make your initial comments on the ship instead of foretelling everything important that's going to happen. Kinda gives a mixed tone to the video between a review, a commentary, or just talking. Let me know what you think

Funny thing about these t11 super ships. If you nerf the living shit out of the t10 rusky cv, its still far better than any of the super ships.

No this ability shouldnt be standard in the game. You never know when someone has it and it would nerf long reload ships like Vermont. Accuracy should just be increased across all battleships. And in something like Roma I can fire 2 salvos with 0 hits!! On a stationary Mushashi

I dont understand one thing abaut this ship, or modeling this ship... Late in war japanise demont secundary guns and install AA guns. Why woud they go back in development and start instaling even more secundary armerent, with iven bigger guns??? There iz no logic in thease.

It's not even worth the effort of asking why are these massively overpowered "superships" are allowed in ranked. It just takes away any skill that a ranked mode should be focused on....... but you know ranked has become the new public test server so who cares at this point.
