Buyers beware! - on a game/plataform that doesn't allow any pedal configuration (eg: Gran Turismo on PS4) you'll be unable to press the throttle all the way to 100%. It's gotta do with the way this guys have you change the gears.. the potentiometer will not turn as much degrees as before. You'll still be ok in games that allow you to change things like "pedal saturation" or something like that. Ofc for PC this is no issue at all...

Doing gods work, +5 years for my logitech :) Maybe you guys could consider a v2 variant with potentiometer sockets that dont require soldering? A tight clamp system, screw system or whatever simple that you can do with everyday tools.

You could always use some pliers and squeze the joints together ;) And I'd advise you to use dust-proof potentiometers, they are more expensive, but worth it I've had to clean my potentiometers multiple times per half a year. got fed up with that and installed dust-proof ones :D

zaferino 42 bought these from aliexpress: RV24YN20S B103. They sre 10k ohm linear potentiometers But you do need to DYI/modify them(the shaft and small mounting hole) But i got them to work nicely :)

I've been dismantling and cleaning and swapping around the 3 potentiometers on my G29 pedals for a couple of years. My brake potentiometer started playing up again so today I replaced it with one from 3DRAP. It was quite easy to fit (I watched their video) the only fiddly bit was having to solder the three spade connectors. On first driving test (I use a PS4 Pro) I was only getting half brake but after a run or two it seemed to "self calibrate" and improved. There is no pedal calibration with GT Sport on the PS4 for some reason. I changed a few cars around and drove a couple of hundred k's on different tracks and I can say that I am definitely using more pedal pressure to get full braking. My lap times are one second down and I'm over-running corners. There is still plenty of arc left in the potentiometer so I might try cutting 5mm off the rubber "artificial feel" block to get a bit extra pedal travel and see what happens. Can always glue it back on. Perhaps they would work better on the throttle and clutch with no travel restriction. So I'm not sure yet if these 3DRAP replacements are a complete success but I'm able to drive and race again and am getting used to the heavier brake pedal pressure.

@@trestontape116 I ordered the 3DRAP ones when the COVID situation was at its peak and it took about 5 weeks to get them from rural Italy which was pretty good as I live in a very remote part of Australia. I also got some from DIGI-KEY in the US and they came in just 10 days, which was amazing. I haven't tried them yet as they need to be modified to get the "clocking" right. I'm on GT Sport most days and so far the 3DRAP one on my brake pedal is working well. I trimmed 10mm off the "artificial feel" rubber block in the pedal spring and I now have a normal feel brake pedal, just 10mm longer travel than standard which I got used to very quickly.

The screw that holds the pot kept coming undone for me and the spring would not hold properly in the red plastic piece,I had a nightmare installing this that I had to throw the pedals in the bin. I saved my AP Electrix load cell mod which looks brand new after over 5 years of use and my GT Eye springs,now looking for a spare Logi pedal set on ebay,this mod,I just didn’t have the tools to get it to work properly.

this is just to replace broken ones, the issue is finding the correct parts, so this just replaces all the cogs to make it work with those pots instead

I don’t speack english so i will make this quick this gear works but you have two options: first use the control panel on windows or buy a logarithmic potentiometer and make a setting because i bought this kit and my pedals doesn’t work until i discover that there is two types of potentiometer lineal or logarithmic and the kit comes with a lineal potentiometer so i buy a logarithmic and after some setting i make my pedals work properly on my ps4 and pc with out need to use the control panel on windows

Hi Oscar, I've just buy the 3DRap kit and I'm trying to solve the problem with my PS4/GT Sport/G29 potentiometers. After read your comments about them, I'd like to ask you some questions. Does the logarithmic pots work with PS4/G29? Evidently without any calibration, as you has written but, What do you mean some with settings as you say? Where did you find this logarithimic pots? Sorry for my questions but I consider if you're solve this problem, it could help to all of us. Some days ago I wrote to Logitech support and their answers wouldn't convince to anyone. Big thanks in advance!!!

@@jabadehat6776 Si habló español la cuestión con el potenciometro es que el ángulo de giro no va ser el mismo que con el original cuando colocas el potenciometro original tienes que girarlo un poco para que el mecanismo entre y funciona bien pero con el genérico el mismo ángulo puede que no funcione; necesitas girar la perilla para que el juego reconozca que el pedal está haciendo todo el recorrido con eso me refiero a ajuste

Entendido Oscar, de hecho he estado probando con varios potenciómetros y les pasa eso. Una vez colocados y en el juego, no se obtiene el máximo. Por cierto, comentas que sustituiste los originales de la pedalera logitech por logarítmicos, cierto? La info que he encontrado por ahi habla de que los originales eran lineales. En cualquier caso, lo importante es que hayas encontrado una solución y hayas podido reemplazarlos. Y ahora la pregunta es, Donde los encontraste? Muchísimas gracias por la ayuda.

@@jabadehat6776 Si yo también pensaba lo mismo, pero tengo un voltímetro que uso con otras cosas; la cuestión es que medí el potenciometro original y me di cuenta que no hacía falta girarlo mucho para que alcanzara el tope del valor máximo de la resistencia, y si te fijas bien en los pines, puedes ver que tiene impresa la letra “A” qué indica que es un potenciometro logarítmico; pero el que viene incluido con el mecanismo viene impresa una letra “B” a lado del valor indicando que es uno lineal. Y acerca de donde los compre pues los pedí por internet en merc. Libre deberías buscarlos por ahí.

If think I did someting wrong, I replaced the potentionmeters following this tutorial.. I have some issues.. If I press the accelerator and brake pedals all the way down, they go to 50% at max, same for the Brake but it stops at 25%. Maybe I did something wrong, Could you help me? Anyone with the same issue? Thank you

The potentiometers have different Min and max values in comparison to the original ones, You have to re calibrate the pedal axis, follow these steps: - plug in the steering wheel; - open Control Panel - go to Hardware and Sound - Devices and Printers - Right-click on the Logitech GXX USB wheel - Press CTRL + SHIFT + Left click on Properties - Go to the Settings Tab - Click on Calibrate and follow the on-screen instructions. Let me know it works for You as well. It should!

It's kinda funny that I just got through with potentiometers in my Electronics Engineering class and I'm only just now figuring out that my G29 has them, lol. (edit): Initiating replacement sequence in 10 hours. Wish me luck :|

@@JulianDaniel2003 I got it done but easily but my racing rig isn't the best and I snapped one of the pedal gear supports. Snapped right through the middle. Came back here for the link so I could buy a few more. Just be warned. Once you do this for your PC, console games only have half throttle because of the potentiometer's change of PWM signal.

I threw my pedals in the bin as I stuffed up the install of this pot,now playing with a Steam controller,took me forever to try to fix them,anxiety through the roof and I stuffed up,bye sim racing with a wheel and pedal set,I installed your gear shift stiffener,that still works great but now without pedals,I am confined to the Steam controller,I wasn’t very good at simracing anyway,my brain has problems,like I have some kind of autism,I struggle with gaming in general.

@@almeidaracing6233 Te aconsejo mejor que te agarres para buenos aires y te compres un hall mod que remplazan los potenciometros estos que son asquerosos y cada tanto tenes que limpiar... estos hall mod son con un sistema de imanes que quitan el hecho de que tengas que limpiarlos... Yo voy a ir pronto a buscar el hall mod, hay gente en mercadolibre argentina que los vende, te contactás con ellos y es mucho mejor que comprar otros potenciometros que tarde o temprano empezarán a fallar... CONSEJO.

Long and expensive way of doing what 3 x correct Pot replacements would do. Plus makes pedals useless for consoles.... That info should at least be in your video IMO.

@@soyynosoy nope. Still looking. I kinda mapped the resistance curve and it seems to be an inverse logarithmic 10k pot. But I can't find one with the correct curve and standard linier 10k pots don't work, I havent tried standard log pot but I don't expect it to work correctly.

Hi! :) We reccomend them only for pc, since the pedal needs to be calibrated again and you can't do it on console.

BEWARE: after replacing the parts the full pression on the pedal will not be 100% anymore. You will lose quite a lot, like 30-40% max pressure and not every game/sim will let you recalibrate so much.

the 3d printed plastic parts are crap. Massive tolerances and don't not fit very well. Pedal was getting stuck. I don't think they would even last long.

If anyone is trying this on the G29 in 2020, make sure to follow this guide: Go to Control Panel > Hardware and Sounds > Devices and Printers. Right-click on the Logitech USB wheel. Select "Game Controller Settings" *(make sure not to go straight to properties after right click, go to Game Controller Settings first)* Press CTRL + SHIFT + Left click on Properties. Go to the Settings tab. Click on "Calibrate" and follow the on-screen instructions. If you're doing this for Assetto Corsa and the clutch is initially starting at the 50% range ingame, invert the clutch control in the settings, and set its range from 50%-93% for best results.

@@Not_Batman_ I honestly don't know :( Trying keeping the wheel plugged in, make sure that it's connected to your PC via USB, turn the PC off, and then turn it back on again. Also, when you're right clicking on the G29 icon, make sure that you're going straight to Game Controller Settings and make sure to follow the prompts. Hope this helps.

If they were better spade connectors you wouldn't need to solder them on. And the quality of your soldering is atrocious, the last one, it was coming off and you moved it back onto the pot as it was cooling, probably breaking the contact.

This product is total shit , don’t buy it . I have been a Lift mechanic for over 20 years and replaced hundreds of potentiometers on DC motor controller on a variety of machines . These do not fall within the limits of the game controller and fall apart easily. Total junk .
