Welcome back! And thank you for this collab. I really enjoyed creating these potions with your amazing labels! You potions look so authentic and real! Really like how you aged the bottles. I think my favorite are the Aconite jars, but I also really like the Pepperup Elixir especially for the ageing on the cork with the paint. Just very effective!

Something I really appreciate about your channel is you show every step of the process - even if there’s a hiccup here and there, you show how the solve the problem in a super nifty way. I’ve been super intimidated to really dive into the DIY prop world but am always super inspired by your work. It is really so beyond impressive! For glass bottles, someone said using milk with laser printouts, like they originally did on beer bottles (I use whole, don't know if it matters), to stick on the label. Works great, is more eco friendly than glue and is actually more authentic. They won't fall off over time, either! I thought it would cool to know. NOTE: Don't recommend it with unsealed ink jet prints. Great work, btw. Love that you are finally getting around to potion class labels. ;)

You should check out cooking and crafting chick for potions tips. I made several over the past few years. Definitely all rubbing alcohol, e6000 glue to seal the cork on, and a more compressed cork to avoid evaporation (I learned the hard way the corks that come with allow evaporation) or rubber corks. I just wish I were talented enough to design my own labels. Thank god for you guys! I love you guys for allowing me to be my crafting self. You are so inspiring

Oh and for the wax seal you can use colored hot glue and let it drip all down the bottle

Potion bottles are my favorite, and yours are absolutely amazing! I LOVE the gold foiling! I can’t wait to see more of these! I love the collab with Darkest Raven. Her bottles are stunning too. Awesome potions. Thank you for showing how to make beautiful looking potions. I have made some a few months ago when I started to get into HP collecting but had no instruction. I used household ingredients such as glue, water, shampoo etc. The metallic paint swirls are gorgeous and now I'm inspired to make better potions!

Looks great! I made several potions/bottles for my daughter for Christmas. I may have to add some to her collection. As far as dust is concerned...I have found a very natural dust will form if you just leave your display alone (unless you are allergic, of course!).

Wow. These potions look so real! Awesome! I liked how you managed to age the bottles by many different ways, that was very creative. Have you ever considered to design labels for spices/oils/vinegars in HP or loosely apothecary design? I would love to do some DIY related to magic world, but I have limited space, so it would have to be something I would actually use. Or maybe you have some designs to recommend? Thank you for your splendid work! :)

She used glycerin not alcohol for swirling effect. The bottle shapes makes a difference. Your labels are awesome

My favs were aconite and armaillo bile. Try using some glycerin in the water for swirl effect.

Pretty cool! - I made potion bottles during the first lockdown when pure alcohol etc were out of stock and used just water and Sirups for the colour and tried to seal it up so no bacteria could get in … nevertheless in two bottles some weird stuff started to grow and live in there 😰and I had to get rid of it 🗑 I got a lot of new ideas now, so I might to try again and “restock” my potions when I’ve collected some more interesting bottles. 😃

I think my fav potion you did was the pepperup potion. Having physical objects in there wouldn't have occurred to me if I was doing it (its not as obvious a potion as aconite) and the objects you chose made it almost you like you harvested ingredients from bumble bees that make blood red honey.

Love this love the wax seal of the pentacle .. the mod podge would have turned clear eventually just taking more time cause it's thicker .. what was the stuff u added inside .. Corn flour is thinner for dust

I like to use your label in my kitchen and its look like royal loxurious. Very good label. Even its for spices and herbs for cooking. I keep my jamu (wedang uwuh) in bottle and l use your diy, looks pretty cool. Jamu is potion too.

Invest ina set of mica powders. Can we use to make color changing potions, also for coloring, and other assorted projects. They're not very expensive but totally worth getting I think you can get a set of like 20 different colors on Amazon for under 20 bucks

Hi Danny. I was wondering how your potion bottles are holding up, 7 months after making them. Has the cork kept the water from seeping out of the container/vial? Is the modpog still sealed up/dry? Love your creativity and craftmanship. 🙂

Tbh the bubbles in the polyjuice potion make it look more realistic instead so dw about the bubbles.

Use 91% alcohol and paint or Mica powders with no water in order to not have bubbles.

leave the bottle undusted for a while on your shelf, THEN it'll look real..chuckle.. edit:I just wish we weren't in lockdown here in Melbourne Aus..I'd be rummaging through ALL my local op shops looking for bottles to make potion jars...actually...if I did a hunt around my own home I'd probably find some good ones that I already own..it's not like I've got anything better to do during lockdown, do I..?? edit 3: I just joined in order to d/l the templates..in the immortal words of the marauders map: I honestly swear I'm up to (no) good! thanks for allowing the d/l Danny..

Hi, I tried to make 2 potions and am having a hard time!! I have tried all sorts of mixtures of alcohol and water, but it comes out blah. It seems like everything settles to the bottom as well. Thanks, Jackie

It's been suggested to use all alcohol and no water for better results. Things will always eventually settle at the bottom though.

Does the metallic paint stay pretty well suspended in your liquid? I tried doing something similar with mica powder, but it settles to the bottom pretty quickly.

If you use isopropyl alcohol mixed in with the water, it helps the powder swirl for longer. The more alcohol, the better.

@@wizardryworkshop still beautiful though,, i love the way u age them. AND i think they look better with just the wax seal sometimes and the labels,, not so much of the ribbons , twines and dangly stuff .. they look legit potion/ medicine shelf... not so much store bought bubble bath bottles

I did not enjoy the aging of the bottles. If you had stuck to the dusting only, I would have liked it better. I could not see the potions for the paint and scratches!

To each their own! I did like the aging. But I have to ask, did you look past the Polyjuice potion? That's the only one I used the paint on.

@@wizardryworkshop Yes I did! The darking effects in general maybe I should have said. But your shimmering effects were great! I got one potion from a Wizzarding Trunk that was supposed to be blue shimmering but was just blue. (Auxilium elixir) So I was watching to see if I could make it right. Since it was a restock they could not exchange it.

I hate to be that guy, but your polyjuice potion is the completely wrong color and texture. Polyjuice is described and shown as essential bubbly mud water.
