There were lots of boats to watch this afternoon, various sizes and probably as many sails as there were engines! Not quite, but there were lots of sailing boats today. It was chaos at times but that’s probably why I’m here filming it. 😉

Out filming 2.5 - 3 hours
Downloading the footage from camera to iPhone 1 hour depending on how many clips I have
Add all the clips together and edit them to make them flow together 1 hour
Make the thumb nail 0.5
Do the writing for the video 1 hour
Share my video to other platforms eg twitter tumblr TikTok Instagram 0.5 hrs
Total = 6.5 hours

Such pleasant watching...being on the river... anything but! Have you got your Green Book yet? Couple of Y&B white boats sailing by. All named after butterflies.

I am glad I was not trying to navigate through all those boats. Pleased that the boatyard are giving Instruction. Thank you for interesting videos.

I agree "so beautiful, so graceful'. Though I never learned to sail (two or three tries ended in ignominious defeat), I never tire watching a skilled broads sailor using the breeze to their advantage. I would imagine most reasonably sane Thurne sailors would be happily sailing around Hickling Broad and Horsey Mere on Herbert Woods changeover days. Sometimes, discretion is the better part of valor...

Well , funny you should mention sailing ⛵️😀, through doing my KZfaq Channel, I’ve had an invitation to go sailing on Hickling Broad . I can’t sail either, I’m just going to be filming the journey. How amazing is that 😍 ⛵️.

omg , i'm dreading september now , as there is'nt a single boat left in september , so it's going to take forever to get out , but the good thing is , we don't need tutoring , as we've been going on broads for over 20 years , so they usually just let us go after we've signed in .

We're in the same boat (pun intended!). It's going to be a lot busier than September usually is. We also don't have a trial run so at least that is something. Good luck and have a great holiday.

Surely some of the small day boats are exceeding the speed limit. Or does the 4mph only apply in Woods marina?

The speed limit applies to everyone that uses the river in any size boat. Ranger boats in an emergency will go faster and I read that work boats / barges can go faster too. How right that is, I’m not sure though. Thanks for watching 🛥⛵️

Would that have been the Friday 10th around 4-4-30pm? I was fishing from riverside bungalow but stopped as it was chaotic for a while at changeover time, like dodgems!

The time is spot on but I can’t remember if I was there on the Friday or Saturday. Dodgems is the perfect description 😀🛥⛵️🛥⛵️ I love to see it busy and everyone excited to be on holiday.
