Helpful fact: generally, IV’s are *not* a needle that stays in your arm! A needle is used to access the vein, and then a *very* small rubber tube/catheter is placed and the needle is removed! So while it may feel strange, it is safe to flex your hand/wrist/elbow, as the catheter is flexible!
