The newest LED headlights can be brighter, but they are often dimmed by the manufacturer because of the EU regulations. In the US they are even more dimmed, the regulations there for light output are even more strict!

Just a little question, did you prefer the 2.7 TDI or the 3.0? What are the real differences?

@@afonsoaraujo01 It depends what you like. The 2.7 is more robust (engine wise), needing less fuel. The 3.0 makes the car feels "lighter" in acceleration but eats more fuel. I personally prefer the 3.0, since i like to drive rather fast but the fuel consumption inrease is not that high in comparison to 2.7. If you can i would recommend heating seat and curve-lightning as well as cruise controll to be included in it.

@@webuser2014 thank you! I've recently seen a 2.7 tdi and the sound of the engine is just amazing and gorgeous 🔥. Also the 2.7 tdi come with a different automatic transmission than the 3.0 tdi right?

Yep, the interior was more or less controversial for it's time. It was very different from everything in 2004, but was also years ahead of everything. The way-out of the interior is 10+ years ahead of its time.

@@pavelppp888 the A8 D3 always had simple design whereas they gave the A6 C6 that curvy design interior that looked ugly. They don't do that anymore, the A4, A5 have similar interiors and the A6, A7,A8 have similar interiors nowadays. I wish it looked better from inside. But it's alright. It's still so beautiful looking from the outside

@@existenz_svk2639 The gearbox is very reliable overall, especially if the owner maintain it. This include some regular oil and filter changes and no high abuse if the car is stage 1 and above. I have a custom TCU remap on the gearbox and now holds up to 800nm because I am a stage 1 (Dyno tested 300hp, 660nm) If the car is stock and the owner drived it w/o constant hard launches, the gearbox will not require any work to be done for the life of the car. Change the oil every 60-100k km and will be fine. Don't get the manual, the clutch replacement cost as rebuilding an tiptronic and will eventually have to be replaced... Apart from the oil change, the tiptronic is more reliable than the manual. On the 2.7 with fwd there is a multutronic option, NEVER GET ONE, the multutronic is not an regular automatic, it is an variator gearbox and is very unreliable. It is available it on the FWD versions. For the injectors - on the first 3.0tdi version, 2004-2006, the BMK code, 224hp, there was a know weakness of the injectors. It is fixed in the 233hp version, like mine, the injectors are new. I even know that the 224hp owners directly replace their injectors with the 233 ones. I never had any problems with them. I recommend you to use a diesel additive regularly, because that lubricates the injectors. The next sport that you have to pay attention are the timing chains. They can be easily recognised if there is metal tick when starting when the engine is cold. I had never replaced mine because I don't have the ticking sound on cold engine. Apart of these things, the car is super reliable. The Quattro is immortal. This car with this engine easily can do near a million km only with a single timing chain replacement and no other major engine work. (Here in Bulgaria there are already some over a million km cars that I am aware of) The engine itself is one of the most reliable diesel engines. It have an excellent gas mileage and cheap maintenance compared to other car from this segment. (like oil and filter changes etc.) I do mine maintenance at home and cost me like 150euros for a full oil and filter Servise with the highest quality oil and filtera. Always, repeat always use a full synthetic 5W-30 oil and only VW 504/507 specification and the engine will not fail you! When I was looking for this car, I also look and drove the competitory: the BMW e60, the Mercedes e class and the Audi A4 b8. Finally I drove this car and felt like no other! So, go and drive one, if it is in a good shape get it right away and you will not regret it! 😉

I will use this definently when i decide for the audi A6C6,i currently drive an astra H 1.7CDTi and i was looking for something bigger and more relaxing in a couple of months in future. I am thinking about A6C6,citroen C5 2 gen. or a BMW e39 with a petrol stright 6. I think the Audi might be the winner if i will find a good one that has not been neglected and in a good price range. При мен след ремап - около 6/100 извънградско, 6.5-7/100 на магистрала със 140км/ч и около 9-10 само градско. Разбира се, разхода зависи и до това колко тежи крака, така че тези данни са при спокойно каране, при по-агресивно такова ще е повече.

Масла и филтри си сменям сам, като с най-качестените такива (масло Равенол- единственото напълно синтетично такова), една смяна не ми излиза повече от 200лв. Не съм има никакви сериозни проблеми, само някои дребни, които съм оправял сам в повечето случаи. Преди мен собственика явно е сменял вериги, защото няма тракания на студен двигател. Единственоъо нещо, което е правено по двигателя, беше да се сменят оплътненията на дюзите, което ми излезе около 300лв със вадене, почистване на леглата и връщане. Иначе сам съм си сменял акумулатор, сензорче на Парктроника и тук-таме някакви дребни неща. Също е хубаво да се сменям маслото на скоростната кутия, аз само веднъж съм го сменял до сега. За тези пари, автомобила е най-доброто, което може да се купи. Друг е въпроса, че на българския пазар е пълно с милионници и такива, със скрити проблеми, от което после хората се оплакват че само ремонтират. Но при намиране на хубав и запазен автомобил за годините си, най-вече редовно поддържан, колата е супер надеждна и безпроблемна и без проблеми изкарва наистина много километри и години.

I've never changed it. I presume tha previous owner of the car did that job. But yes, it is not a cheap job. At least you can easily check if the timing chain is gone during the inspection before buying.

@@aonas I hope it is not too late to answer ur question. U can just simply listen to the engine and if the chain is damaged u will hear it. There is a lot of videos on youtube or the internet where people show the difference between normal engine sound and the one with damaged chain.
