Agreed. This is a very well-done skit. I don't think I've seen a fanfiction able to evoke this feeling of time loop existential dread in such a short time. This is why I say AI is a good thing, a tool to help realise people's great little ideas.

I think the keepers most likely destroyed her portrait to avoid anyone who wields ancient magic to go down the same path as she once had.

It kills me walking to Hogsmeade with Sebastian and then him wishing they the rest of our year isn’t as eventful knowing that there is nothing I can do to help him or to stop him from.. I’d still choose him anyway. And I’d still be by his side.

This fourth-wall-break easter egg if we start up a second save and then choose him again is both creepy and sad. The end of this video made me, a grown US man, cry over a game about magic. We’re not the only character who travels from one save to a new one, clearly he does too (and worse, already knows what he’ll become and about the whole homie-betraying and uncle-killing thing and that there’s absolutely nothing we or he can do about it).

Okay,I literally got goosebumps when he started questioning why would we choose him just to suffer the same fate over and over again-- and I feel so terrible about it now. I have re-played the game for the 4th time by now,but I always go with him,he is my forever companion,partner in crime..I just can't have anyone else accompanying me no matter what ;^; If he actually knew,this is exactly what he would ask I am 100% sure. I'M SO SO SO SORRY SEBBY 😭

They should have made the Sebastian subplot the main plot instead of the ranrok thing, IMO. It’s so much more interesting

@@badpiggies988 I think the Sebastian subplot was the most riveting for sure, but I understand why they didn't make it the main plot. It would have been odd if the main plot was all about another student, as your main character is supposed to be just that, the main character.

Oh wow, this reminded me so much of the amazing anime "Your name". Imagine that! A movie where you start your life over and over, and realize it's just a bloody game, with always the same outcome. But you have a go at it anyway, you fight again and again, to see if you can change things. Then it's not "Your name" anymore, its "Your game". (OK, I'm sending totally this to Japan.)

@@AlentiaHart Well to be fair there is a level of darkness to Free Guy as well, though it's not brought to the surface as Guy's existential freak-out is played for laughs. But if it were played more for drama...it'd be exactly like this! Either way, you did great, this video got me straight in the feels, hope to see more from you soon.
