You got it, Micah! I used to keep my food in boxes on my enclosed breezeway or my barn. But, because we buy our food in bulk now from a local farm, we have a freezer out there. So, we just keep everything in the freezer. Another tip for those who lost power - keep your faucets running with a slight trickle so they don't freeze up!! Thanks for posting. - Rick

Along with the water comment - if you're on a well pump, turn the supply to it off so that when the power comes back on, it doesn't trip the thermal overload. If your power comes back on but your well doesn't, check under the control box. Don't open it, bottom outside of control will have 1-2 red buttons. Pressure switch tubes freeze first because it's a small 1/4" nipple. Hope that helps. ✌️🇺🇸

I'm preparing to find ways to save food and power outage and I would be buying MRE Army Food that just requires water and then it heats up on its own but I feel like preparation and the next 3 months essential

Great ideas! I have done that before. When it's a freezer outside... use it. It is actually common practice in places that stay cold for a long time to keep frozen food outside.

That’s exactly right! I am afraid the people in Texas and Oklahoma might not realize this!

We got almost two inches of sleet. No freezing rain thank goodness. So the power is still on. But our luck may run out Wednesday with another system. Great tips.

Hopefully you’re Weather Clears up quickly, but I know you’re ready for what ever happens. Right now we’re twenty below wind chill, close to eight inches of snow and still snowing. But plenty of wood cut, plenty of hay, plenty of food in freezers ,canned and pantry. Setting here now in front of the Kitchen Queen getting ready to fry up some fish on top and corn bread in the oven. Brother we are so blessed ,all praise to our lord and savior Jesus Christ!!!

Я всегда мечтал иметь традиционную американскую шапку с хвостом енота. В России таких шапок нет. Есть только шапки с медвежьим хвостом. Эти кепки сделаны на заказ или их можно купить в магазине? Сколько они стоят? I have always dreamed of having a traditional American raccoon tail hat. There are no such hats in Russia. There are only caps with a bear tail. 🤣 Are these caps custom made or can they be bought at the store? How much do they cost?
@McGieHomesteadAdventures3 жыл бұрын
We made it with beaver fur and a raccoon tail! Thanks!

I loved the content a lot. I have been trying to search for a informative KZfaq video like yours that teaches the ideas in this video. 🩺 The part at 1:32 is my fav. Your video actually is similar to the vids of Dr. Ethan. Ethan's tips are actually insightful and I learned a lot for finals. I recommend you watch his channel out and give the Dr a like over here! ➡️ #StudentDoctorEthan
