I would love to do that all day, smooth the dirt and have someone roll out sod. Mostly I want to dig dirt and make a golf coarse smooth lawn in my yard, in the downtown areas and in mediums. You really need an irrigation system to keep the yard growing nicely. If only the system could deliver fertilizer like you put chlorine in the pool pump.

Started out cutting grass and then got a Toro Dingo. Then eventually just got into more jobs with that machine and then moved up to the Vermeer. I mainly focus on residential work because of the versatility of the mini skid steer in backyards.

I use hydra bucket to cultivate the soil, similar process as yours, but recently i tried new step and it was amazing. After cultivating i used leveler ( land planner) in FORWARD direction, not back dragging and left surface smooth for new soil or seeding. Also leveler would leave lots of good soil on the ground while pushing roots, rocks, grass to pile ( for future removal). Love your channel, you made me record my mork as well.

What are the pros/cons of not having wheels on the front. This is the first model I’ve seen without the front wheels. Very curious of your opinions. Love the videos!

It came with wheels for the front but I have never used them. I never liked how the wheels dig into the ground while raking. Also, when wanting to get close to a house or tree the wheels would limit how close I can get. I know they flip up out of the way but they seem to be more work than I wanted to mess with! I used the wheels one time with my first power rake 15 years ago and have never used them since! Thanks for watching my videos!

Awesome content. Great work and a nice video capture. Thanks for sharing How do you think the power rake would work in wet clay? I ask because I tried using a Toro soil conditioner and that did not go well. I do think it was more the machine (Wacker neuson) than the attachment not I'm not sure if it's worth trying to rent the power rake

It depends on how wet. Any soil clay or not when is difficult to power rake. Were you using the Toro soil conditioner that has the screen on front that makes seed bed or was it a power rake like in my video? If it was soil conditioner I'm thinking of I know that dirt needs almost completely dry for that attachment to work properly

@@SchottServices it was the Toro conditioner. It wasn't super wet when I used it. The problem was that the machine didn't have enough weight on it. Every time I got the tines deep enough to be able to also use the drum, the machine would slide around Thanks for your help

@@Hillsidelanscapemanagement Toro doesn't make a "soil conditioner." They make a soil cultivator and it is different than a power rake. The cultivator is primarily suited for areas that are already pretty much graded and just need some final prep work. The rake is used for both rough work and finish work in all types of soil. Get yourself a rake, you won't regret it.

Yes. Soil cultivator not soil conditioner. You are right. I always forget they call it that and that soil conditioner is another name for a power rake! I always use the term power rake when talking about a soil conditioner.
