I always change my power steering, air drier, and coolant filters once a year. Usually In the fall before the first freeze. Good stuff bro!!!

Jorge .. I think you may have missed refitting a spring plate from the old filter to the new .. the plate is important and is probably still stuck on the old filter .. the spring pushes against it to hold the filter in place .. without it the filter will not do its job .. for example see KZfaq 2016 Kenworth T680 Power Steering Fluid & Filter Replacement .... hope you haven't thrown it away ?? .... Will changing the filter have an effect on how the steering feels on the column? I have a slight hum from the column but it’s not wrenching. I’ve been told that doing this will help but as said, not a lot of people know there’s a filter there so.. let me know! I might not need to change the pump altogether.. might just be that I need to change filter and fluid

Yes my truck was doing the same thing but after charging the filter it completely went away. You need to do it before you end up messing up your power steering pump

For those of you that ever need a funnel just cut the bottom of a plastic quart of oil off and turn it upside down or if your fill hole is smaller cut the bottom off of a bottled water and turn it upside down and you won't need to buy a funnel

Stop! you’re missing the filter top plate that belongs on the spring that holds down the filter. without that plate you’re gonna pump dirty oil through the top. hope you caught that.

I second this., you should have to hold down that cover to put on the clamp. you have nothing holding the filter down.
