The loaner problem a plus. You won’t have to loan it because of the cord.

I made a 1 ft adapter cord with normal male then a female quick connect that I keep in my truck so I can't have a tool outside of the shop that I can't use.

I got the same connectors just after you. I even made 3 different lengths extension cord for outside work. My only complaint is my sander vibrates the lock connector loose.

Try getting a locking one

@@mfwoodshop that is the locking one. I’m thinking it is getting old and the vibration causes it to work loose.

Not sure then I’ve been using mine for a while and haven’t had that issue. Maybe you just got a bad one?

Nice idea, but do ppl really use corded power tools anymore. Overtime most of mine, if not all have been switched out with battery powered.

That is true, and yes I have quite a few of them still. for the future they will be converted over to battery.

Since You seems to have a cord winder You have to think of the heat the cord will produce. If You don't unwind all cord in the winder when using a high power tool, You will heat up the cord so much that there are a big risk to melt the cord.

Thats is true, I have been using this reel for 4 yrs with no issues. I think most likely it because of the low about of time used at once. The longest I would use it at one time would be sanding, but it does not pull thats many AMPs so far no issues.
