Hello Michael, I saw a KZfaq where you were having trouble with your X-axis not moving. Did you eve get that fixed? You know how hard it is to get help with an Atezr so I thought maybe with your past experience you might be able to help me. I had to take the cover off of the X-axis gantry and the belt seemed a little loose. I could not find any information on how to Adjust the X-axis belt so I just out the cover back on. The when I turn it on it made a lot of noise like the belt skipping the gear. I opened it back up again an now the belt is very tight. Something I did might have caused the problem that's when I took out the 1" long screw at the end. when taking the cover off. I thought maybe that is the adjustment screw so I tried running it in and out. Testing each time but the belt stays tight. Can you throw me a rope?

I had a very similar problem with my P20 and it began a couple months after I got it. I had been using it quite a bit by this time. Mid job it lost left-right control. I checked everything, several times and eventually, I found that one of the wires that go into the male connectors for the stepper motor on the gantry had shorted out right at the connection and the wire had separated from the connector. It was very hard to see as it was right as the wire entered the back of the connector. I ordered new wire tabs for the connector and that fixed the issue. But since this has happened again this time at the connector at the laser. I did the same fix and it works fine again. Unfortunately, I had the same problems with the customer service. My P20 does not do grey scale so it takes 5 times longer to do a small image... Never got a working answer to fix this problem. I am not very happy with this laser. Hopefully you have since solved the problem.

Mike, 8 years ago I got sick, leaving me 1,5 year stuck at home with not more energy than watching YT videos. That's when I discovered your (and some other's) channel. I was mainly interested in your videos on the lathe, because I just bought myself one. You helped me recover and I thank you sincerely for that. I stuck around and I hope you will too. Don't make posts for the money, that's not the right motivation. Do it because you want to share and maybe educate. Stay sane, and thank you from me in the Netherlands.

As a guy who has made this my living, I feel ya Michael. Sounds like the YT path you thought you had to take, wasn't the one you wanted. Whatever you do, chase your joy man. If you love building things, build things. If you don't like filming it (I am WITH YOU on that front) then don't. With that said, I wanted to pass on a bit of advice. Don't turn off monitization. By doing so, you only change one thing. YT will still run ads, and still collect money. The only difference will be that they keep your share. I can't see any logic in that. The $1,200 you made last year would pay for a stellar tax person to handle your taxes for you. Trust me, once in a while, you'll make a video that just really resinates with a larger audience, and it'll make you $20k-30k. It happens. If you turn off monitization, and that moment comes, YT will still get their money, and keep yours. No point in that.

Thanks for the advice, I didn’t shut off the whole channel. Just each video that wasn’t doing anything any way. At anytime I feel a video going to go nuts I can turn it on with one click. Yes for the most part I’ll be making less or none. But I do have the option of going back and keep all my subs and view history.

Hey Mike, I competely get it. I've put out over 200 videos and livestreams. I can't break a couple hundred watch hours, so I don't even qualify for the partner program by a long shot. It really is disheartening to put the work in and see very little to no return.
