EFI tuning is boomer kryptonite, I really expected Mike to step in with some new tricks. Perhaps there's less red tape involved in taking factory EFI and going carbureted vs ditching the factory EFI and getting a standalone ECU. The EPA and California laws are really hurting the tuning community. It's not good enough to just slap a sticker on the product and say "for off-road use only"

LS1s are affordable and have usable power tho.

305's are about the widest you can fit without rolling the lip, and those can still rub depending on the back spacing. I'm running 295's on the rear of mine.

Its not that much of a hassle. Just took a longblock and trans out together, from the top, at a friends place on a gravel ground with a thin piece of plywood. Took all of 2 and a half hours from a fully dressed car in a garage that left 1 foot of room on each side of the car.

Kinda but not really bro. I'm average. I took about 2 years to put my LQ9 together. Now I'm about to find a camaro for less than $1500. It takes some time but it's not too hard. Just have to work hard and save money lol. Now a full suspension will hurt me a bit. I will be buying it by peices not the whole kit.

It all depends on how much money you want to spend. Although there are some areas you shouldn't cheap out on.

Agreed. This would be like saying, "were building our project Terminator with a full bolton Coyote," or "our project C6Z with a 408 ci LQ4 based engine." Who the F runs a carb on a LS1 in a car that came factory with a LS1? That is going full F'in retard. Also piss on an air ride suspension on a performance car/handling oriented setup. This isn't a Lincoln Town Car or an Escalade trying to get a comfortable ride with air springs. To make a Fcar handle just throw some Koni SA's, better LCA's, stiffer aftermarket springs from any quality GEN4 Fbody suspension company, (Strano, BMR, UMI, etc) a Watts Link, and a 315MM square tire setup and call it good. A GEN4 Fbody might share its basic roots with a GEN1, but it's not some 1960 muscle car rocking leaf springs and a dated strut setup that can't handle as well as a new 3/4 ton truck. Air ride is not the way to go on a GEN4 FBODY to make it handle better than factory, or for racing and if it was people would be doing it as air ride is nothing new. A lot of these kinds of shows show you how not to mod any particular car. I owned an 02 SS for many years and have never talked to anyone who would recommend switching to a carb setup, and using an air suspension for a handling setup. I think that they're both cheap and limited on their budget and they're likely slave to sponsors who give them stuff to use. First they're using a LS1 that was swapped into something else and they likely swap it to a carb setup to save on a FI setup in an old car cost, and they're too cheap to convert back to a FI setup. Second that suspension was likely given to them by that company to promote their product. And I can't knock them or the air ride company too much as modding cars costs a lot of $, and donating stuff like this is good promotion for a company, but this is not an ideal setup for a GEN4 FBODY.
