Basically, America once had Lions as big as Siberian Tigers hunting Bison on a daily basis?? Now I’m really hoping they’re brought back to life so I can finally find a good reason to visit Yellowstone!! I want America to have its own Serengeti again!! 😁😁😁

No, the reason why American lions are so rare at the tar pits is because that they live in open grassland area, same play with the giant short face bear since the tar pits take place in forest, did regions. That’s why we see more of smilodon and the dire wolf and the dire wolf is pretty much found everywhere in the forest and the plains.

I just realized something that could turn the whole perception of ornithomimid dinosaurs on its head; they're probably about as every bit as temperamental as regular ratite birds and probably have the same killer death kick as ratite birds. Scary. (censored). ostrich-like. dinosaurs. yo!

Nearly 20 years ago my fam had stopped on a road trip outside an ostrich farm and my mother took a picture of me holding my daughter. It wasn't until we had pictures developed (cuz it was a long time ago) that we saw the ostrich coming up behind us had pure death in its eyes and was going to murder us if we hadn't moved right afterwards

Fun fact, South West African Lions are on average a big bag of dog food lighter (bout 20kg than the lightest estimates on the American Lion) and just as big (shoulder heights between 1.2 and 1.4m which is the same as the american lion) and still cruising around terrorizing the bush but they have been classified as a Vulnerable species due to lack of conservation funding

The part where you said the largest mordern lions is only about 230kg is false there are significantly bigger lions than this, Ive posted a few on my channel the biggest one digitally recorded on camera weighed 247.5kg, 230kg definitely isnt the biggest. The biggest lion in scientific record is a 272kg empty bellied Kenya lion over 600lbs. Ive personally contacted reserves aswell and the biggest one I've gotten so far is 279kg and a witness to someone who seen a lion that weighed a total of 285kg.
