Om Dyauh Shanti is the prayer from Yajur Veda. This is the universal peace prayer. We all are connected, the sky, the earth, the nature and everything there. We pray for peace inside and outside. Chanting this peace mantra with the intention to pervade peace in all the creatures, gods and us within. This is an excellent mantra to meditate.
Specially the mantra is chanted in beginning and ending of any religious activity, yagya, sacrifices, homas, havan etc. These days it is important to keep the peace as it is imbalanced. So let's pray for the peace all around and within us.

पृथिवी शान्तिरापः शान्तिरोषधयः शान्तिः ।

Meaning:
1: Om, Peace is in Sky; Peace is in Space between Earth and Sky;
2: Peace is in Earth; Peace is in Water; Peace is in Plants;
3: Peace is in Trees; Peace is in Gods (presiding over the various elements of Nature); Peace is in Brahman, Absolute Consciousness;
4: Peace is pervading everywhere; Peace alone (which is outside) is in Peace (which is inside); May you be (established in) that Peace (and make your life fulfilled);
5: Om, Peace, Peace, Peace.
शान्ति: कीजिये, प्रभु त्रिभुवन में, जल में, थल में और गगन में
अन्तरिक्ष में, अग्नि पवन में, औषधि, वनस्पति, वन, उपवन में
