Her dynamic control is astonishing. That she can sing with the rock solid precision and power from very quiet through cathedral-wide open loud is amazing. The sound just rolls out of her.

And yes her timbre is unique for me as well. I'm much more strongly inclined to contraltos. In fact, Fabian is the only Soprano that has made me go nuts. Her voice hits my aural net like velvet.

Lara Fabian was a huge thing in Brazil (back to 1999) when a song called Love by Grace was extensively played on the radio. I bought her CD at that time and I listened to it intensively for the months to come. I now see people reacting to her songs that I used to listen a lot 20 years ago and that brings me so good memories. It also reminds me of how old I am now hahaha.

She wrote this song and the entire album actually, but this particular song is based on her own experience when her fiance cheated on her. Heartbreaking song and she sings in such a beautiful way. She is beyond words. She's just truly the best!! Perfection at its BEST!!

This concert is one of many gems she dropped along her (ongoing) career. Her eyes have always captivated me. She’s saying (and telling) so much through her eyes and her face. I love it! Also, she’s one of those artists I prefer listening to live tracks va studio tracks whenever possible.

I think we have to thank Dimash for making many people aware of Lara. His songs alerted people to the writer and hence onto listening to this wonderful talent. She is simply incomparable. Her voice is as smooth as honey on a sore throat! I'm still drooling at Ti Amo Cosi and the way that she performed in that song. I really don't think that any female singer comes anywhere near her. The fact that she writes a lot of her songs just amplifies her wonderful ability. Great reaction to a beautiful song and a talent that should be a worldwide household name.

Thank you for another reaction to Lara! Awesome! Yeas, there is that voice, that breath, that expressions, everything... she just makes you feel it and enjoy. For me there's no one like her. You could say so much but then what to say, she says it all :). Always do a live version with her, she doesn't need studio ;). I'll have to check what you reacted to, I think Caruso, with Johnny, Adagio, but studio, have to do that live, You're not from here, Je t'aime... maybe, there's a lot ;).🥰

I just don't understand why this concert isn't available. I believe it was on VHS years ago, but I'd dearly love to have it on DVD. In different ways I love Lara as much as I love Floor: my two favourite singers in the world, male or female.

The dvd is available from The Music Shop and More. Google it. I got a copy last week. I had to have it because I think in this concert, she was at her absolute prime and her most gorgeous.

I love this one. I discovered Lara on utube & after listening to a few reactions to her the reactors were saying she must be good because Dimash is a big fan of her, so I then looked for Dimash & loved him too. So thank you Lara for leading me to Dimash as well as discovering your fabulous voice. I must admit I first heard Adagio sung by Lara & (dare I say it) I prefer her version to Dimash's 🤔 but it has to be her live one fron this same show if i remember rightly. Thanks for another great reaction 😀 👏👏

I tell students that when you sing a song, you need to listen to and understand the words and the story you are telling. Otherwise it is just music. Lara is a Master class on this subject. Just perfect.

She has a warm buttery voice and such control! The personal emotion is just amazing. Such a shame she's not as recognized like Celine and Mariah, her main competitors at the time. I feel she has a better voice, true emotions and a fantastic stage presence. She is actually better in person than her recordings, which is part of the reason she doesn't sell as many records and have the awards others do. She "feeds" off of the audience and gives one helluva performance.

They're all amazing singers!!! When you have voices like theirs it's just a matter of personal preference. I love both Lara & Celine, They both have the innate ability to make you feel every word they're singing weather you understand the language or not.

I discovered another great concert of her, years later, with Igor Krutoy at piano, the live concert ''Mademoiselle Zhivago'', concert in Cremlin.. songs like ''Mademuiselle hyde'', ''Demain n'existe pas'' (tomorrow is a lie), ''Llora'' in spanish, are just breathtaking, or russian songs ''Liubov pohozhaya na son'' (love like a dream) and '('L'ubov ustavshih lebedey'') - yes, she is singing in russian too and the audience it seems was amazed xx Try to react to the, thanksss!

A person doesn't cheat on another person because that person isn't "worthy" or "deserves" to be cheated on: cheating happens because of the person who cheats; not because of the person who is cheated (well, sometimes a person doesn't care for their partner and than the person feeling alone go and cheat, but oftentimes the person who cheats is just an asshole who just wants to try different "things"). Anyone who cheats is a fool.

Yes, and yet it is in France that Lara is and has been, the most mocked and criticized by certain media, humorists, pseudo musical specialists: "She shouts too much, she sings too well, she does too much manners" Fortunately, his many fans adore him and still appreciate him. Arguably, the greatest storyteller in musical history. Arguably, the greatest female voice in musical history. When I watch Celine, I feel like I am watching a performance. When I watch Lara, I fell like I am in an intimate conversation with her. While this concert is from 1999, I saw her live just before the virus hit and she has lost absolutely NOTHING in the 20+ years! Personally, I feel "Je Suis Malade" is the single greatest live performance from the single greatest concert in history. I know I use "greatest" a lot, but it's only because I don't have a more descriptive word.

I noticed you reacted to her masterpiece that is Je Suis Malade live from "With Lara with Love". And I know you reacted to the official video of Adagio but you have to actually react to her singing Adagio live from the same concert and also Caruso live again from the same concert. She's incredible on both and they eclipse her official recording of those songs by a mile.

When i first discovered her in 2000 she for me has been kind like a Celine 2.0. Not only that both are from Canada but her style has also a lot in common and Lara just put something on top of that. But for whatever reason she didn't got the recognition that Celine got. The only really "hit" i remember was "I will love again" and that was it as far as i remember. Btw. her first album was already from 1991, but i only have "Carpe Diem" from 1994 as oldest one. And the older albums were also all in french beside the song "Bridge of hope". This is why Beldin... She confessed recently in Canada where she lives, the reason why she didn't make it in the USA. At the time, she and Céline Dion had the same music company (Sony), Céline was already a star in America, when Lara only was a rookie. Lara revealed that Céline Dion's team (not Céline herself) did everything to sink her/sabotage her career as Lara had the whole package to also become an immense star in America, and worldwide. The music company didn't want another huge voice to compete with Céline's, and instead of supporting her, of supporting her style of music/songs (such as 'Love by Grace'), Lara was forced to leave it for another company and forced to change her professional team. As a result, it was all over, the other company formated Lara to make her sing pop songs such as "I will love again", a style of music/songs for which Lara and her stunning voice weren't made for, they also wanted her to lose 20 kilos and asked her to go blond. Such a waste, as she should be as famous and successful as Céline or Mariah Carey today. :(

@@jeremie2020 Thanks. I must say i don't really care about the american market since i know there happen really stupid things, but in the end the whole thing also seemed to have impact on the european market in her case, and thats really sad.
