Ikea Pax sliding door soft close system instructions. Detailed instructions on how to install and adjust Ikea pax sliding door komplement soft closing damper. Installation of Ikea pax komplement soft close is easy just have to watch on what side is outer and inner pax sliding doors. This Ikea sliding wardrobe soft-close mechanism is the latest version where there is a new middle part soft closing damper. Older Ikea pax sliding door soft close have just left and the right part.
Tools I use here small electric screwdriver and allen key. Ikea wardrobe soft close mechanism prevents doors slamming or can help kids safe door closing.

PP Flat Pack. You are a legend. I assembled our double Ikea wardrobe with sliding mirror and frosted glass doors and soft closing mechanism in a weekend. Without your help it would have defeated me, but with your videos it was a success. Cheers mate.

I feel ashamed of myself that I needed to watch a KZfaq video on how to assemble the soft close hinge system. It took me my whole Saturday afternoon and Sunday to install it, and still, it's not installed the right way. The manual is lacking quite some details. Thank god, I've come across this video, else the whole package would be landing 4 floors down in the parking lot. My dude, you are a legend!👏

I'm doing it today and in section 22 of the door instructions there's a picture of a smiling guy holding a set of 'Komplement' instructions with the two different closure models. That's clearly the point where you are supposed to fit the closure but it's very cryptic. Their instructions generally need a lot of working out and a lot of very careful observation. It's a bit like doing Lego and exactly like lego as soon as you are finished, the object you have made falls to pieces. These wardrobes are basically sawdust and glue with a plastic film over the top and I am extremely disappointed in how flimsy they are. Thanks enormously to PP Flatpack for the excellent video. This has saved me a huge amount of time working all this out.

I didn't remove the doors. Its easy to do it from the inside, just bring a torch to see what you're doing and something to stand on to reach.

Hey Flat Pack. I have been thoroughly following your videos, specifically the "IKEA PAX WARDROBE sliding doors assembly PART: 1, 2 & 3" and I am amazed at how good you are at explaining instructions. You're catching every detail (almost ;) showing it through ancles that makes it much easier to approch, like the time where you place the camera inside the closet while attaching brackets from the outside, It shows you've put a lot of effort into making an instruction-video that everybody can understand. This is very well done. I am very happy I found your videos, because it really narrowed it down to a piece by piece setup, which allowed me to finally get an idea of how my sliding doors are to be handled. If I hadn't found your videos, then I would probably still be in the building process. So thank you very much good man, your instructions are admirable. Please keep up the good work. Thanks again!

Again, thank you, after following your sliding door guide, I followed this guide to install the soft close door device. I didnt had anyond to help since I have the heavy 1m doors, I couldn't remove it. So I improvised and it turned out pretty good.

Excellent video and explanation I just assembled our pax ikea wardrobe and came across the additional kompliment package . It has the soft closer and mountings with the stop blocks incl the the T shape and brackets but some other bit is missing . It looks like I'm done with the soft closer ,haha Thank you for the full layout descriptive video ,have a good long life.

I found it hard to install the door brackets blind! Easiest would have been if I could have done it when assembling the doors, in the end I had to (do not recommend) remove interior shelf, put a chair in the wardrobe to stand on and screw the brackets from the inside. You make this step look very easy hah! Thank you for great video

Thanks for the video, question for you. I've just took far longer than I should of building these wardrobes, I thought I was finished but when I've gone to open a drawer on the left it rubs against the outer door which is also on the left. The drawers although a different style open one the right. My only thought is the stopper on the right stopping the door going further so the left one cant quite open all the way as the right door is blocking it. I would adjust that stopper but im 90% sure its pushed all the way up against the inside off wardrobe. Any help would be appreciated. Also I never installed a soft close between the doors and I'm all out off bits. Thanks.

You are an absolute legend. I couldn't have done this whole wardrobe with sliding doors without your instructional tutorials as a supplement to the ikea pictograms. I know that every comment on here already says that, and that you probably don't need my validation. But I just had to take the time to write this and to thank you. Who would have thought building a flat packed wardrobe system would be such a big multi-day endeavour? I can honestly say I probably wouldn't have made it through to the end without your videos. Excellent video, The instructions included are not intuitive, We installed the doors in a step-in closet not an ikea product, I built the doors and hired an excellent general contractor to install the doors as they would require retrofitting into an existing step-in closet. He gave up on the soft close and said could not be done. With the help of this video I was able to install the soft close. The only modification to the video was that I had to install components with the doors on and the inside door the lower slider Bracket (124339) I had to remove and install after the door was in place. Works great. Thanks. Would be nice if the doors came with low profile grip/handle to open and close the sliding doors as we have the mirrors and fingerprints get on the mirrors.

@@PPFlatPack your instructions are amazing! :) I have one more issue to fix with my sliding doors. To pull the baskets out of the pax, I have to give the right door a little harder push to open completely so the right door (which is the outer one) connects with the middle part of the softclose (which is fixed on the left, inner door). Problem is when I want to close the doors after that, the doors stay connected, so I have to pull hard to separate the right door from the softclose which is fixed on the left (inner) door. Do you know how I can fix that?

If you have Hasvik doors, you don't have pre-drilled holes for item at 11:25. In this case, drill the missing 2 holes 5cm from the top edge with 5cm drill. make the plastic part end where the metal one starts. I did this and it works perfectly.

I called ikea and they told me that Hasvik doors are light and so I dont need to install middle softener (the one we see at 11:25). Just side softener are enough. They also said, I may harm the door, if I try to open my own holes.
