Great video! I like that you included family friendly options. I have 4 kids, 16 and under and we loved Occidental at Xcaret last year. Beautiful grounds and they even had adjoining rooms which was a huge plus for my large family.

Hi Vanessa, Please continue to make these videos each year. You are incredibly thorough. The pros and cons that you give are so helpful and really sets your videos apart. St. Lucia is very pricey (for my budget) and Windjammer is on my list for certain. However, there is an all inclusive vs non all inclusive rate it seems and that is something important to pay close attention to. Nevertheless a very good budget option in St. Lucia. I'd love to visit, even though it's family friendly. Wonderful video. Eagerly awaiting your next one.

1 recommendation is Grand Palladium palace in Punta is very affordable and they gave us a swim out with a nice ocean view. very affordable and very nice staff friendly.

Will have to trt Palma Read. The Paradisus Punta Cana was our favorite (we did Royal Service though) but it is closed for remodeling. It's definitely a brand we will be visiting in other locals.

The first one of these you have done that we haven't been to any of them. Time we broaden our list of resorts my wife's cheap husband takes her to. Thanks for the video it was very informative.

Mexico might have lots of all inclusive cheap places to go but their beaches/water don't even come close to places in the Bahamas or Caribbean. The most important things I look for: beach/water clarity, food quality/options, and maybe spa offerings. I want more than just massages...steam rooms, saunas, mineral pools, floats, hydrotherapy circuits, etc. It's a vacation so I want to be pampered! Adults only is a huge bonus. I would like to see a 2023 video that covers top adults only all inclusives that have the things I mentioned above. A video on best destination spas would be fun too!

nice content and new subscriber. been looking at playa del carmen for sometime, but it seems like it is not safe to travel to mexico due to all the cartel violence. wish it was not the case because being in california, mexico can be the best bargain when including flight as the caribbean is so expensive flight wise. looks like the dominican republic has some good value for those on the west coast of the united states. just wished you could have included some prices (at least the daily resort rate given flights can vary depending on departing location) and time you visit as well has the best time of year to go to these places for the best price. as many mentioned, look forward to seeing a 2023 adults only version as well. cheers!

We paid 120 a night for two at occidental at xcaret. Property is beautiful.

Occidental! We’re going here next! My husband and I go to Mexico once a year and our last trip was extremely disappointing. We were talking about it at dinner and a lady came up to me and said they were experiencing the same thing! She said they usually always stay at Occidental at Xcaret and love it and way cheaper! We paid a ridiculous amount just to not be able to get a beach chair, a safe that would constantly reset itself, a hot tub that didn’t work, a terrace that was definitely a safety hazard etc. We didn’t even get to enjoy half the stuff we paid for. And sone of these resorts have you fill out your review in front of them or while your there. Personally think that’s why some of them have such high ratings. Save your money but enjoy your vacation! That’s why I love these videos! Amazing job!

Vanessa, you put Occidental Xcaret on my radar as an option for a future trip. Thanks for the suggestion. Paradisus was great on a couples trip several years ago but we did do the Royal Service and it was like a resort within the resort. I would have to consider this as well based on your video and my prior experience. This video was very timely as I was looking into some budget friendly options for a future trip.
