Very beneficial talk alhamdullilah. I home educate my children and I'm so grateful to Allaah that I've been able to. The ustaadh gave a brilliant insight into home education. One thing I would say for anyone considering it, is that the term home 'school' limits your understanding to what you have to offer in terms of education. Home school is trying to replicate school at home... whereas home education comes in many forms and isn't limited to the school style. Education is 24/7 and children learn all the time in many forms. Not everything has to be text book style and sat with a pen and paper. So much can be learned and is learned out of the classroom aswell. Know that by you catering to your children's needs you are giving them a chance at becoming who they really should be. Free to explore what benefits them and not limited to an outdated and highly damaging school system. You can tailor make their education to what they need. The resources online are vast and there is PLENTY of support if you look hard enough. Have patience with yourself and your child and enjoy the journey. Ask Allaah to guide you to what's bless and help you on your path.

I've been doubting myself for too long. I educate my children since they're born. I have 4 kids from ages 5 y/o to 4months old. Sometimes I feel efficient while other times I feel like I don't do well enough to teach my kids some good old school stuff, just because other kids my child's age can read at the age of 4 and memorize short surahs more than my children. But Alhamdulillah after watching ustadz Tim humble, I feel relieved that what I do every day is home educating my children. I do my best to integrate Islam in everyday life and that is my goal, to make my children grow up in the guidance of Allah( inshallah hu taala). At the same time, I can't ignore the fact that my children should be in the government's educational system should they wish to continue to get a degree someday, they'll need to pass a certain exam to qualify. Modular distance learning offers flexibility to me and my children.i can get the certification+filter out what is necessary for my child's education. Alhamdulillah for Allah's plan and indeed Allah is the best of planners. May Allah bless our journey and to each and every believing mother/father who devotedly gives their time to educate their children, Ameen.

I see covid as a blessing to allow me to homeschool my 4 children. To avoid haram in public schools.
