In formula "| |" sign is used which indicates every quantity inside whether negative/positive when opened will become positive.

yes, if you don't change the setting of the voltmeter and ampere meter reading will remain the same after initial setting.

Do ask internal examiner/expert for the standard value for other experiments, in this experiment you should know the standard value of J/Cw.
