Well, KV-1 has mediocre gun but has great armour. Pz IV has great gun but has mediocre armour. Mixing both of good qualities will create an absolute monster on its tier

It's not OP in WoT, simply the enemies are trash players having no idea how to penetrate it.

Well, unless you are on the cheaters team you'll get a run for your money at low tiers now. The cheaters have allies on the opposing team and usually blowout the game in less then 5 minutes with a 15 to 6 at best score. I've had the cheaters allie on my team push me over a cliff and push me into a crossfire. Want a challenge head back down. I'm not good at this game and I'm close to calling it quits because these cheaters make the game unplayable and no fun.

Thunderbolt is nice, but on the NA server i get 75% tier 8 matches and then its awefull.

Can't go wrong with T110E3. Ridiculous armor, over 300mm of standard pen and decent DPM. If you know how to play, STRV103B overperforms, as does Leopard 1. Ho-Ri 3 is also overperforming.

Actually if used properly, gold rounds aren't impossible to use when being F2P. It's just asking you to manage a little bit what you are shooting. If you are new to the game, don't feel scared about shooting them : it's really helpfull in some situations and will make your games go to another level. The most important is not throwing them at random : be sure to pen if you shoot and this will not get as expensive as you think.

At what tier? I'm very fond of the E75 and it can handle the vast majority of situations with standard rounds if you aim for weakspots. The T95 is also a superb tank if you don't mind that it's rather slow. The AT 8 (british TD) is extremely powerful at Tier 6. The M6 is a wee bit overpowered right now, as QB has mentioned a time or two.

Truth to be told probably artillery, since all of their rounds cost roughly the same.

not really, because the turret is not enhanced. You can do the same with a regular tech-tree KV1. In fact, the KV-1 has a better gun with higher alpha and better pen.

The KV-220-2 hull armor is far better in all regards. Like, 160mm minimum if you angle it right - and a lot of people at tier V still don't know to shoot it in the turret. As far as the turret goes - yes, the overall armor of the KV-220-2 turret is worse, but the PzKpfw. KW I does have that giant obvious weakspot that invites less knowledgeable players to shoot at that, where they might try their luck against the well-armored lower plate of the KV-220-2.

@@Steamrick It really depends on experience. I own both, and I've noticed that a lot more people these days know the 220's turret is the weakest part and tend to shoot it more often. I've actually had games where every hit I took was to the turret. With the KW you can at least partially angle it, though I can't deny the cupola is massive and easy to hit assuming rng doesn't mess with your shot. As for the angling, the KW's hull is just as easily capable of reaching 160mm effective despite not being as thick as the 220. And since the KW has spaced armor over its front armor, you don't have to angle as heavily in it as you do in the 220.

@@robinkhn2547 It does, but given how much the game has progressed over the years it doesn't really feel special anymore. There's a ton of tier V and VI vehicles that are incredibly powerful and more than capable of taking out a 220 even if it's driven by an experienced player.

sorry, for those pick up the VK 100.01P, it's the tank designed for it. Those missions must be tier 8 at least unless it's for the T55 or lower, which accepts tier 7 (T29 stock turret FTW)

You cant autolock on a specific part on a vehicle, its always centered on the tank. Its just that low tier tanks has bad armor mostly so autolocking them works better on those than on the high tiers.

Only if WG sells them seperatly again. Maybe at some black market event or similar?
