Dorothy, The turn table as shown is from the CBS1 Circle and Border System. At our web site you can find much more information on this product. Go to the Morton Glass web site and look for the button "Circle & Border Videos".

By the way I am using the Mini Circle, Morton system so I'm only working with an 8 in.² to start and I have not been successful yet cutting a half inch diameter circle

+Cathy S , I can't make 1/2 inch circles either. I find that making a small hexagon or octagon with the Portable Glass Shop is much easier. I find that it is quite easy to grind the hexagon or octagon into the small circle I want and you do not waste any glass.

+OVERTHEHILLVIDEOS, Review starting at 1:46 and note the glass is turned over at 1:58 to make 4 relief scores. The first, second and third relief scores are made on the outer scrap and the score is started about 1/8 inch away from the outer score (no need to get close to the score). Pull the cutter to you and come off the outer edge of the glass. The forth relief score is at 2:13 and I am making a relief score across the 1 inch ring and the outer scrap. The start of the score is about 1/8 inch away from the inner score of the ring and continues across the ring and the scrap. There is no difference in right or left handed and I always turn the screw, the holds the cutter head to the handle, up where I can see it.

I see the first cut you make when you cut the scrap away. it's all of the relief scores after that I don't understand. you're doing teo circles at once so where did you put the relief score. I can't see it at all in the video

+Cathy S , Please read the comment to +OVERTHEHILLVIDEOS. In the video I started with a 1 inch split ring and this not as easy with your Teeny Circle System. If you need to contact me you can by calling us. You can find the number at the website.

Don still don't understand where. And why. Isn't it cracking the circle
@mortonglass
@mortonglass 8 жыл бұрын
+Cathy S , The ring around the inner circle is scored with a relief score and broken. By relieving the ring you can then separate it from the inner circle. The inner circle should remain just a circle and has no relief scores. Please expand your comment if I have not answered your question. I do not understand the comment about cracking the circle and you will need to give me a little more information. To me the point of the practice is to keep the circle from cracking.
