The arm swatches are a great reference point. I have the Prada foundation in the refill only from Prada site. It did not come with a cap. It is my fancy day foundation, over the HyGen skin glass primer.

I bought it when Kackie reviewed it not realizing it had a chemical sunscreen in it! At first I was devastated (I’m allergic to almost every chemical sunscreen) but I tried it and fell in love with the finish. I’ve never had a foundation that looked good throughout the day on my oil skin! And so far my skin has not thoroughly rejected it! Yay! Thank you for this thorough review!!!

I went to Sephora to get a sample (DC70). I kind of love this foundation. I also have oily skin, so the soft-matte-ness of it all suits me well. Thank you for always giving us the tea with an attention to detail that I appreciate. P.S.- I'm obsessed with those earrings. *furiously snaps fingers at*

I agree 100% so far. Thankfully I got mine on sale at Selfridges. But I see it being a trusty go-to. Not top shelf. But ole reliable. And I wish I had just bought the refill. The extra packaging just gets in the way 🖤

I bought mine on Selfridge’s after Kackie went wild for it. Thankfully, my purchase experience was fine. Because I have very dry skin, I use this when I go out at night. It lasts fine on me - and looks nice…but I agree with you (i.e. it’s not superior to other foundations that I own).

For what it’s worth, I find the Harrods site way easier to navigate than Selfridges. I use them for getting sunscreens that are “illegal” (sigh) in the US.

It annoys me when makeup puts in any sunscreen- I will not use the amount needed for sun protection, and what the hell is sun protection 17 lol if it's not at least rated 30 it's useless 😂

It’s mostly out of necessity. I recently came across a photo of my old foundation drawer. Yes, and entire drawer dedicated to foundation. And when I looked in the photo I only really remembered wearing like 2 of them. The more I have the less I focus on the ones I actually enjoy.

@@hautemesstom That's the sitch I'm in now (TOO much foundation) and it's overwhelming. I'm doing a no-buy year so I'm hoping by the end of the year I'll know what does and doesn't work for me so I'll be better able to let things go and hopefully end up with a collection that looks more like yours!

Thank you, it's a pass for me, everything and anything has niacinimide and my skin hates chemical sunscreens to the point that I will not spend this amount of money to try and I just repurchased the WA skin foundation so at the moment there's no need. I love this in depth review and although I won't buy it, it doesn't mean that I don't appreciate watching someone with an aesthetic that I like try it on in my stead. Thank you Tom.

Also lactobacillus is a probiotic which in a foundation is more of gimmick rather than an "it's going to do something" ingredient, it's not new in skincare, it has been used in Estée Lauder's Advanced Night Repair Serum, so there you go.

I like skincare in makeup 🤷 I use a moisturizer with SPF and then foundation/skin tint, I just don't have the time money organisation or patience for five layers of skincare 😅 I guess it's just priorities 🤷

Late to the party, but it was damn near impossible to get this in Canada until recently! Nordstrom is finally shipping to Canada, so I ordered it yesterday! I wonder your thoughts - I have combo leaning dry skin EXCEPT when I wear makeup. When I wear makeup, it seems my skin is more combo leaning oily 🤷‍♀️🤦‍♀️ I don’t know why, but that just seems to be the case. Do you think this might work for me or do you have any other suggestions for me? Loved the in depth review! Thank you!

The cap wouldn’t stay without the tube. It is disappointing that the weight is all in the cap. I’m storing mine upright in a section of an acrylic organizer.

Kind of unrelated but what did you decant your surrat into? The packaging has been keeping me at bay from purchasing it. Also thank you for this review I’ve been dying to hear your thoughts on Prada!

I just bought a cheap airless pump and decanted it into that. It's worked fine but you may want a regular pump. The foundation does recommend that you shake it well and in the airless pump it has nowhere to go! But so far it's been fine in the airless pump and I used my first whole bottle of the dew drop foundation without ever shaking it lol.

What on EARTH is the fuckery going on with that shade order??? It appears to be grouped by general depth category (ie light med deep) and then secondary grouped by undertone? What a strange way to list the shades

Yeah, I think that in theory it could make sense to organize shades that way but I think it would just be wisest to do what people already know! That's why I tried to make sure to reiterate that you're grabbing the correct shade!
