The Italian Opening comes after 1.e4 e5 2.Nf3 Nc6 3.Bc4. It looks like a very simple opening and a lot of amateurs play it as well. But it is extremely complex with a lot of intricacies hidden in it. Very few players understand them totally. The one who does it extremely well is R. Praggnanandhaa. This 7th game in his match against Arjun Erigaisi at the Quarter Finals of the FIDE World Cup 2023 is a testament to Pragg's Italian knowledge. Check out the battle with commentary by IM Sagar Shah.
