Both of them are very good friends of each other. In fact on the night before the game they went for a walk together on the Baku Boulevard. However, when they sat opposite each other, it was complete war. Praggnanandhaa and Arjun Erigaisi played one of the most exciting games of the FIDE World Cup 2023. Prag has better chances against magnus. Sad to see him loose. Arjun and Gukesh are also good but they doesn't perform well against magnus. Prag is the only hope to beat magnus.

Prag might have defeated Magnus in shorter formats in the past but right now, i don't think anyone can stop Magnus . He'll win this one for sure. Although, I hope Gukesh comes back strongly in today's game

Gukesh is 17 and Pragg 18..Magnus has more than 10 years of experience over them.. Even a player as strong as Magnus could not defeat Vishy in the initial days of his career... So I am willing to believe that they will only get better with time... And get back at Magnus eventually..

Didi Prag resigned? He had King near the square where the opponent had to change the pawn to queen so he can block it, where as Arjun cannot get his KIng in the opposite side to block the advancing pawn of Prag. So this was a win match for Prag. Can any body tell why Prag resigned?

Zugzwang would make it that the king cannot block the queening square. Just like Zugzwang gives up the pawn on e4 at 18:01 the commentator shows this

The truth both of player is about equal but pragg got much hype by everybody. Also he wins against hikaru so he must overestimated himself, much like gukesh vs Magnus too. Back to these two, the results can go either way. But overestimated yourself could go wrong as you might push too much and underestimate your opponent capabilities

Pragg missed last moment winning chance. Pls somebody tell I am right or wrong. *Exactly @ 17:04 minutes Arjun (black) played his King to c2, for that pragg replied a great wrong move Rook to f2, instead of playing Rf2, played should have played Kf2 Then definitely black next move would be d2 pawn to =Queen @d1, then RxQ, KxQ, then now white King has upper hand in moving up and white king could move now to Ke3 (my moves once again repeated here) ..... Kc2 Kf2. d2=d1 (Queen) Rxd1. Kxd1 Kd3. {Now white King can move up in board towards black pawn @ b7 to make b6 white pawn as Queen and win Pls check and tell I am right or wrong Thanks

The engine says it is still black at -7.5 I think it's because it's 5 pawns against 4. If I remove the G7 black pawn then it's a draw
