That someone must be you, for I am feeling splendid :-) ...I am sorry for you that you are not happy, but it's okay, it was just another chessgame where both players tried to remember engine moves as much as possible, until one of them got it wrong...very boring, actually. No big deal. No reason to be cranky. Cheer up ! :-) Life's beautiful - with or without chess. It would be a lot more beautiful without engines, because then, you could really say this or that player only needed 24 moves - to execute a plan or combinative idea that has its origin inside his own creativity. But unfortunately, too many human beings started to strive to become engine-like drones, instead of spiritually awakened and active beings. Therefore, chess has become an increasingly boring intellectual obsession, losing most of it's magic and fascination....but, like I said - cheer up. It's all good. Mankind is immensly stupid. PS: imagine this beautiful game of chess, had it evolved only with human ideas, human analysis and human experiences. It would still be immensely fascinating and a player's originality would be the real deal. But many decades ago, some members of mankind started to create machines, weapons and other devices that killed human life, human spontaneity, human creativity and most of all, sadly enough - human happiness. And the game of chess became one of those victims. It is being chewed and analysed until there won't be much left to do, and you can see that almost every GM or IM or whatever are accessing their memory banks during a game, like computers. They are not looking at the position with their creativity and ideas, they are looking up and sideways to hopefully remember the best move their engine suggested. Now if you are a genuine chess lover - you will find this very sad and extremely boring, for it lacks any kind of inspiration. But if you can find your self-worth only in excelling at a game through memorizing computer moves - than I have to feel very sorry for you, what an empty life. But if you feel it's impressive and something to be proud of - that's fine. It's your life. Not my business . You don't have to see the big picture if you don't want to. It's ok. Fortunately - We have Random Chess, the only chess variant which offers tons of freedom without being much different from regular chess. Crazyhouse is fun, too.

Thanks for the likes, it's nice to see that there are people with a sense of humour, who don't have a problem with the fact that 80% of today's chess is engine reproduction, and that most of the time the player who deviates from the engine loses the game. That's why I said - let us praise Random Chess :-)) - the perfect escape from engines
