I can testify of the power of praise. I am naturally a very anxious person, raised in a home where worry = love. But, Philippians 4:6,7 has become a comfort, guide, and safeguard for me. I encourage anyone who is overcome by anxiety to just stop and ask God to help you take the thoughts captive....praising Him and thanking Him leaves no room for the spirit of fear. Praying for all those in stress. Psalm 94:19

I just returned from a procedure and learned I have a recurring tumor in the bladder after being cancer free for 8 years. I have to have surgery once more. I logged on to my daily devotion and found just what I needed to hear. Thanks for these devotions every day. Rona, I've been where you are and my heart aches for you. My husband of 30 years left for an old girlfriend. It was a long road and there were times when I'm convinced God was breathing for me because I didn't have the strength to do it myself. Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus. I experienced this anxiety last night. I just couldn’t ease my mind enough to fall asleep. Stayed awake all night. Questioning my self, am I good enough, will my daughter come back to Christ, will my husband’s surgery next fix the problem so he will be pain free, and not have to wonder when will be the next time it dislocates. Please pray for us. My only son, a single parent whose youngest child is 9, has been diagnosed with terminal stomach cancer. I heard the Lord say to me ‘ Rob is my son. I will fulfil the plans I have for him.’ But this last few weeks he’s gone downhill so fast ... mainly due to a very severe chest infection that has failed to respond to 8 different antibiotics. I am a 75 year old widow trying to hold everything together and I’m feeling exhausted ...

I need prayers for a calm spirit im tired been battling Happy tears mixed with sadness . My heart rate way way up from over doing boxes and taking them to my outdoor shed and putting them up. I'm trying to rest and relax a bit now.
