Prankster tricks Asda worker into announcing "Tesco's is cheaper'

Michael Bidgood, 29, from Swinton, Greater Manchester, was inside Asda's Trafford Park supermarket when he played his practical joke. He called a member of the store's staff on his mobile and told her he had found car keys - which he claimed he had lost earlier - beside the vehicle, and persuaded her to put out an announcement for his wife so he didn't have to search for her. He then said his wife's first name was 'Tess' and she had a double-barrelled surname 'Cosis-Chippa', spelling it and explaining the name was South African.

@@ethancarberry-holt3011nah, they artificially inflate prices and label the real price as “clubcard exclusive” so that they can syphon personal buying data to market offers that entice further purchases. Unfortunately as a result of this, the artificially-inflated price is taken into account in inflation studies (they can’t use “members-only” prices in these studies) meaning prices are reported higher overall which further inflates prices and the loop continues.

Tesco is not cheaper than ASDA. Unfortunately for me Tesco is the closest supermarket and it's a genuine rip off for half of their products. Even with the club card it's ridiculous
