because of green revolution these state has better infrastructure and so they produce huge amount of rice and wheats, there are other crops too but rice and wheat are the most bought crops by the gov of india and so the farmers from these states facing losses, now you get it. edit - bihar also produces it but the farmers here are selling it privately. and the farmers in pujab and haryana are mainly dependent on govt mandi.

Centre procures only 40% of rice and rest 60 % is left to farmers . Rice . As for why only Punjab farmers take up to protest is really interesting as they waited for four years to protest and that too when election is round the corner instead of waiting for an elected government to be formed .

Congress has won in states where BJP has failed - like in Karnataka. They had won in the past in Punjab, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh because there is democracy. I am from Karnataka and voted Congress although I am actually a BJP supporter because the BJP was not good enough, but now I find that teh Congress is worse !! This is all possible because there is genuine democracy . You arE JUST spreading falsities. My vote goes to Modi in the Lok Sabha elections and I am not even his fan. I am just acknowledging that he has led the country well. He has a vision for this country some of which I disagree, but he has a better vision than anyone elese that I can think of.

He is still under the impression that if is because of his strategy that modi came to power. But the fact is , it is because of Previous PM Dr Manmohan singh Modi became PM. During Manmohan singh's Tenure people realised that how a PM should not be. And in Modi's First term People understood how a PM should be. So he became PM for second term. PK is a political strategist. A political strategist is more dangerous than a politician. He should be the first unbelievable person in politics.
