I agree. Not everyone can concentrate swaas swaas. That should be our goal. God willing it will happen. Until then, we all seek a quick fix for certain aspects of our life. This is not a good approach in the long run because if we have too many holes, you won't know which one to fix. However, when you know you need something in particular, Guru Sahib's baani can provide it for us. For example, Chaupai Sahib has been said to be our prayer for protection. Anand Sahib is for Anand, which is to control our 5 vices and obtain Jeevan Mukti, Dukh Bhanjani Sahib for relief from pains and sorrow. Also, should we let people rely on Gurbani rather than turning to other means? In short, I don't think M Singh is wrong, but I also agree with Simarjitsingh that for those haven't reached such a level. This is my understanding from listening to various Kathaa CD's and videos, so my apologizes, if I am misleading anyone in any way.
