Jersey Shore Fire Response

Жыл бұрын

OC - Brick - Two Alarm Structure Fire - 544 Jackson Ave - Detached Garage Sheds and Fence.
Around 12:55 PM this afternoon Brick Township PD received 911 call for a shed on fire extending to the garage and fence line. Shortly after they got more calls for heavy smoke in the area. First-due officer OEM-3 stated that he saw black smoke from Ceder Bridge and would be there soon. OEM-3 confirmed the working structure fire in the rear extending to the fence and other structures and brush. 2210 then requested the second alarm for this assignment. Multiple explosions and what sounded like ammo were actively exploding and going off inside the garage and shed. The first due engine was to stretch 1.3/4 to the rear and start working on fire suppression. They had one detached garage and looked like maybe two sheds and a fence line on fire. 2210 was Command and 2110 was Operations. Crews operated for around two hours before being released. The cause of the fire is unknown at this time and is under investigation by Brick Township Fire Fire Safety. We hav no further information at this time.

Excellent footage. We finally got rain up in Ontario, Canada today. We had heavy downpours most of the day. I didn't notice till today that the clothes I was wearing when I went out last week smelt heavy of smoke. The air seems alot better with rain. Have a great day my friend ❤️🙂⚘️.

This guy was freaked out when the ammo started cooking off. Just a quick note. ammo isn't that dangerous when its going off like that. there is no barrel to propel the bullet so its more like expensive fire crackers at that point
@NikolaiRomanovsk
@NikolaiRomanovsk Жыл бұрын
It can definitely hurt you but the danger is the tiny shrapnel from the brass case exploding rather than the bullet. The explosion is significantly weaker as it is not confined for very long, so there is time to build pressure.

U.S. fire departments have so many different coloured fire apparatus. This has to impact on the safety of the crews and the public. It is scientifically proven that green and black are the hardest colours to see, yet these hues are common on all manner of emergency vehicles. Yellow, white, orange and red are the easiest colours to distinguish. Is this a vanity / competition thing between departments?

Unless the ammunition is in the barrel of a firearm it does nothing unless it's 22 rimfire. There is no way for pressure to build up. The reason 22 rimfire is different is because of the priming compound in the rim. Those could have been blanks used in a nail gun as well. Not the biggest deal.
@expat2010

When we were kids, we would pull the bullets, crimp the brass and hammer those little .22s with rocks or whatever until they fired. Also put them on streetcar tracks (yeah, it was a long time ago). Nothing much happened except loud noises.

.22 caliber doesn't matter. Small arms ammo WILL NOT mass detonate, and has very little kinetic energy. You can be 20' away in fire gear and there's little chance of you even getting a bruise from it going off.

Not to be too hasty in judging the cause; remember that most people will store various spray paint cans or stuff like WD40 in sheds. There may even be some fuel for lawnmowers and other things like camping propane tanks, or car maintenance fluids.

That is correct. The "heavy" bullet doesn't travel far but the now empty shell will fly a little ways. You don't want to get hit in the face with one but it's not like getting shot with a gun. You're wise to protect yourself, but again, it's not like a gun being shot at you.
@Sea-cucumber1151
@Sea-cucumber1151 Жыл бұрын
@@awwaldo so true….his distance he was fine, unless there was loaded guns and really bad luck. Anywhere other debris can shoot out and hit you is too close anyways. I would be more worried about spray cans shooting around. If you have ever seen them, they sound like gun fire and can literally fly around and start other fires. Or maybe in an intense fire and bullets stored in a metal box, then think shrapnel. Knowledge is power, stay cautious but don’t run in fear as you can get hurt and more then likely hurt running. Just like most cars accidents cars don’t explode due to vented gas tanks etc, Hollywood has every car explode in a fire, doesn’t mean there won’t be the time the right circumstances happen. Ever watch firemen and a car accident they walk right up to them.

Around a year ago (July 26, 2022) there was a multi structure fire that happened around 5pm behind and in my neighbor hood. So basically around five, people behind the houses on the street I live on decided to burn trash during a burn-ban (I live in Houston), when the fire spread around the shed and got close to a propane tank, and it exploded. I was in my house around that time and I heard a little pop. That one of my cousins came in yelling ”WE NEED TO GET OUT OF HERE” I exited My house and saw smoke down the street and then I saw the there were flakes of wood falling from the sky. It took 5 minutes for the first fire department to come. By then some pine trees caught on fire and in less than a second there was fire 20 feet above the pine trees. By then another fire department came to help but It still wasn’t enough. The power was out by then due to the pine tree fires scorching the power lines. We then went to the neighborhood park for 30 seconds before returning to my house. When we got back to my house another fire department had came to help and finally the fire was shrinking. By 6 o’clock, the fire was out and me and my family walked down to my cousin’s house. While we were walking down, we met one of my friends, he were talking about the fire with his mom and then my friend said “but mom my food is cold” because they made food before the fire and were eating it when they notice the fire approaching the backyard
@theraider1268
@theraider1268 Жыл бұрын
*PART 2* (it was too long for a normal comment) Anyways, they noticed the fire approaching their backyard and exited their house and went into their driveway. Also during the fire my dad and mom heard dogs barking and went into the house that had the dogs in it. My dad broke a window to get in. The house was on fire (I think) so they got one of the dogs back into the cage with the other and left the house. My dad got a cut on his arm due to breaking the glass and my mom got blistered on her feet because she stood on hot ground. At around 9pm there was a little fire at the neighborhood propane tanks, but my friend that I mentioned earlier told firefighters that were still there that there was a fire there. A couple of minutes later there was a fire at the Valero nearby (on the grass by it) and we joked about the sign being blown up into the air. That’s my story

Are you a actual Firefighter that's the burning question I think everyone wants to know,and Deck gun or Blitz Fire where the PD Cruiser was parked would have knocked the bulk of that fire down, your videos are great but that Fire Department seems to not get out very fast even most Volunteer Departments get out in under 3 to 5 minutes and with that many being dispatched 1 of them should be close enough to arrive in enough time to set up Master Stream operations and doesn't the Fire Department's on the Jersey shore believe in Big Fire 🔥= Big Water 💦? Just curious. Also instead of filming if you are not a Firefighter how's about joining instead of excitedly watching and videoing? Regardless good video less urgency and excitement though no need to get carried away.

I said heavy fire in one of my first videos when I had no clue what was going on, now I say it every video cause so many people commented about it, and still do.. ha no I’m not a FF and learned everything I know from just watching and filming fires. It was an intense situation yea I was yelling at first. Sometimes I don’t talk sometimes I do my video that’s why I can do what I want.
