In this video, I talk to you about pre-hung doors VS slab doors! I speak about the differences between the two types of doors, and outline some of the pros and cons. Some people prefer to buy and install pre-hung doors because they are much faster and easier to install. Other people prefer to use slab doors and build their own frame because it allows for more customization and costs much less than a pre-hung door! At the end of the day, it all depends on your own situation.

Always use a prehung door. Only use a slab door if you want to keep your existing jamb and trim or if you’re installing a new door in an undersized opening

So if you are replacing an old door, you would use a slab door as the frame is already in existence?

Why are the pre-hung door and slab door have different sizes? I checked both homedepot and lowes; for example, slab door would have the exact 28" while pre-hung door (the door itself) is 27 3/4". I wonder if one bought pre-hung door installed it and if they need to replace the door, they can't just buy a slab door and replace it.

But if u have to pay someone to install a door that already has a frame which is the cheapest way to go. Pre hung & install. Or chiseling , drilling & hanging. Cheap door & labor. Vs expensive door & less work labor.

Why is he talking like that? Im truly confused. I couldnt focus on what he was saying. I think he thought he was a reporter from the news. This is how they talk and how they do their hands while they are talking.
