I will say it was difficult putting some characters in certain tiers (especially the On-Fielders, like you mentioned) due to capacity but also the fact that there's many things to consider outside of simply what they do themselves (i.e. teams, usage rates over time, fighting scenarios, rotations, etc.).

My brother in christ TGS himself admits xiao has rotation issues which make him clear slower. Xiao if anything is still mouche level I’d watch Jstern on that. His calcs do not change the fact that his setup time and lack of burst damage hold him back.

Fine by me, my point about shenhe and faruzan is that Meanwhile faruzan alone has her slot guaranteed at any anemo onfielder's team when she's C6 (and without her all of them fall several placements in practical combat efficiency, she singlehandedly pulls a significant portion of weight on the element) Shenhe by role compression issues doesnt find her teamslot in any melt team in the game except for speedrunning shells, and in freeze you can use a charlotte/furina team to replace her without major loss (in fact its better in AoE because quills arent in the equation), she is a unit that can be replaced without major loss unlike faruzan

You are correct, Wanderer (and many others) were not fully discussed in detail or at all in the video. Not adding for excuse but for reasoning, I personally didn't have much time to myself when recording due to personal reasons and opted for a handful within certain tiers up until like T0.5 and T0, and even in T0.5 I didn't talk about everyone I believe.

Hmm that's a great question! There's a few I'm torn between, but I'll wing it and just say Kazuha. Going anecdotal here, but ever since I got him, I've consistently used him almost every Abyss cycle - even ones where he wasn't as necessary - purely because I lowkey rely on him that much😭. His CC plus buffing/debuffing capabilities are something that I appreciate having on my account up until now.

T0.5 isn't low though? It's right after T0 and is a list still full of strong and influential units in-game, especially from a C0 5-star POV.

Keqing is waaaaay better than Itto lmao. Post dendro Keqing is actually a very powerful unit while itto is stuck using his same team from 2 years ago. Even Noelle is better than itto in the current meta because she can use furina

Kuki and ZL I can understand and potentially may reconsider (notably due to how valuable comfort is to many players as well as what they offer aside from that), but I still think Arle and Alhaitham at T0.5 is fine as is. I am actually a little shocked not having them T0 as I'm someone who quite literally mains Arle and Alhaitham on my acc and tend to be biased towards them tbh💀. Regardless, it's still a good placement and as high-tier DPS units they provide notable benefits to an account if you have the right supports for them! Still, I'm understanding to your thought on why they should be higher~

Arlecchino and Alhaitham just are not at the level of someone like Neuvillette since they do have notable weaknesses. Arlecchinos prefers having Bennett on the team, Alhaithams prefers having Nahida on his teams. Arlecchino can die easily when you’re in Bennett circle and for some players shielding or defensive utility is advisable and this will lower her overall damage, she is a very good dps but just not in the same tier as Neuvillettes. Neuvillette does not rely on any character, is basically immortal, can fit defensive units into his teams without notable damage loss, has many team options and is the best AoE dps in the game with a very low skill ceiling. Like Alhaitham and Arlecchino they are not meta defining

@@justawalter9752 Neuvillete isn't defining anything as he doesn't definites any of the 30 DpS in the game. He is just deferent level strong and no one else can relate. Arlechino and Alhaitham defines to the other DPSs in game about How strong a DPS can be, You cannot unlock the strongest Pyro and Dendro teams without them, a DPS. Bennet might be the greatest Buffer in game, But if someone asks you how to reach the highest Pyro damage, the answer will be Arlechino, not Bennet, if that's not defining then I don't know what is.

And that also doesn’t really cover my argument, Arlecchino still has Bennett in almost all of her best teams and that is always disadvantageous for meta value as this means you cannot play other characters that want Bennett on the other side, the same goes for Alhaitham, how can a character be meta defining if they heavily rely on another character to actually be the best at what they do? I guess we have other definitions of meta defining, Neuvillette is a character that has nearly no weakness, doesn’t rely on certain characters to be what he is and can hardly be countered. Give Arlecchino an aggressive enemy and some players will struggle, take Alhaitham without Nahida and he will feel average. All of the characters in the highest tier have something in common and that is regardless of the situation and regardless of the account they will have unconditional value.

Honestly, I really wanted to have them higher (if that's what you mean by this comment - if not then erm oopsie), but I have heavy bias esp towards Arle and Baizhu and ig I was a bit strict with myself on putting them any higher. But T0.5 isn't bad tho so coulda been worse (imagine if i put them T1...oh boy)

@@antch0vies i understand arle and zhongli cuz dps are gonna get powercrept sooner or later and zhongli is just not needed but baizu just bring dendro, can provide heals and shield just changes many things lol he can almost fit in any teams imo..
